    Games listed are:

    * Kirby’s Star Stacker
    * Quest for Camelot
    * Downtown Nekketsu March: Super-Awesome Field Day!
    * Joy Mech Fight

  2. Riomegon

    All Japanese only releases now in english, love to see it!

  3. MarcsterS

    Glad to see we’re getting some JP only games for a change.

  4. herpty_derpty

    Is Quest for Camelot the first movie/TV licensed game on NSO?

  5. Of all the games to pick for their first movie tie-in game on NSO, Quest for Camelot was not on my list…

  6. woodchuck101

    Three out of the four are being released in the west for the first time, save for Quest for Camelot. Great batch! Hope to see even more GB games!

  7. Superboi-Prime

    What a weird batch of games, love to see it though

  8. AngryCharizard

    Oh hey it’s that pink guy from the Smash assist trophy, neat

    Having quest for Camelot is going to make me believe we can get more licensed games and I’m about to get my hopes up for nothing.

    Quest for Camelot is an interesting choice. Nintendo published a bunch of licensed games for GBC, including The Little Mermaid 2: Pinball Frenzy and Mickey’s Speedway USA.

  11. First time Joy Mech Fight and Kirby no Kirikira Kids have been released outside of Japan, which is notable.

    Still hoping for all the old school Pokémon games one day.

  13. Holy shit, Joy Mech Fight is something I never thought we’d see outside of Japan beyond the occasional Smash cameo.

    I can’t say I’m itching to *play* any of these games right away, but if nothing else it made me say “wow, that’s interesting” which I appreciate from NSO drops

  14. SuperFromND

    Yall GOTTA play Joy Mech Fight, criminally underrated game and it’s been Japan-only until today.

  15. The fact we’re getting some left field 3rd party licensed movie/TV game releases opens up the possibilities. Yes Goldeneye 007 was the big one they needed to land, but there’s a huge library out there to tap into.

    Of course everyone’s going to want stuff like Batman on NES and some Star Wars games, but I’ll take some obscure stuff too, like The Pagemaster on SNES.

    The fact that Nintendo would go through the legal process of asking Warner Bros to re-release Quest for Camelot for the NSO instead of something like Super Mario Land is just ridiculous.

    Quest for Camelot is such a surprise, it’s a game my brother got when we were kids and neither of us really liked it; he thought it was a Zelda-esque game judging by the back of the box, and I only remember being confused and trying to find all the chickens in that first quest. I visited him a few months ago and since we finally beat Link’s Awakening, we decided to pop this in. And it’s just baaaaaaaaaad. The looping music was so grating, the saving mechanic (that is not only an item you have to equip, but costs gold to use!!) was bananas, and the gameplay was not worth playing much further than a dungeon or two. Of all the games, THIS one????

  18. Why haven’t they released the English translation of Mysterious Murasame Castle which they sold on Wii U?

    Hasn’t Joy Mech Fight has been on NSO Japan for a while? When I made a Japanese account I think I played it for 5 minutes or so. Basically every game referenced in Smash is probably a safe bet for being good.

    Quest for Camelot is a movie tie in, developed by Titus and published by Warner Bros Games.

    Guys.

    Superman 64 is on the table.

  20. Docile_Doggo

    Someday I will again play Sim City SNES. But today is not that day.

  21. LakSivrak

    still no actual game boy Pokemon games, no DK64, no Smash 64, no Glover, no Sonic Advance, no Golden Sun, no Diddy Kong Racing. let’s scrape the absolute bottom of the barrel instead, the drip feeding is wild

  22. sludgezone

    Joy Mech Fight and SNES Kirby Star Stacker are two really solid obscure cuts I’m glad are making it on, well worth your time.

  23. Professor_Poptart

    I’ve always said that a big part of any game library from the 90s or early 00s was licensed games, and it was too bad NSO would never capture that part of the nostalgia. But seeing Quest for Camelot brings me hope. Bring on the shitty licensed games! I always loved them.

  24. WhispyWhirl

    Why is the Quest For Camelot movie getting attention over 25 years later?

  25. That Field Day game looks like a RCR spinoff.

  26. Classic-guy1991

    Still no gba kirby or any new gba games

  27. Twinkiman

    Kirby’s Star Stacker! Easily one of my favorite puzzle games. I am going to sink so much time into that game again.

  28. Dragon_Avalon

    The only thing related to the word Camelot I want to see in the same sentence as the words “Game Boy”, is Golden Sun 1 & 2. Seriously, what a strange batch this time around.

  29. Viperboy_74

    I have to question the amount of demand that was had for these specific titles.

  30. muffle64

    I am legitimately excited to see Joy Mech Fight finally being released here. Been wanting to play that game for some time now

  31. ZzzSleep

    They are straight up trolling with Quest for Camelot aren’t they.

  32. ChoppyChug

    Of every single GBC game they could have chosen….
