Master League Teams
Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.
Pokemon GO has just announced the Adventures Abound season featuring the pokemon found in the Paldea Region. This season of GO Battle League features a significant move updates includes nerfs, buffs, and new moves. In total it came with over 150 move updates.
With all these move updates, this video will focus on pokemon that received a significant buff for this upcoming season of GO Battle League either through moves specifically being buffed or access to new moves.
In this video we look at one of my favourite pokemon to use in Kanto Ninetales. Ninetales got the new move of scorching sands. It provides a nice coverage move for ninetales that would otherwise only have fire moves. In this video I analyze which move is better for ninetales moving forward.

great video!
Happy Tuesday!
Have a good day
Something to consider is that Spark Lanturn is the best water type in the game, and probably will be the swap in against your fire type.
Hey
Good morning Dan
LMAO Quilladin isn’t the new grass type
Qualidin is the pre evolution to chestnaught, not a new mon. The new ones are skeliderge is the fire/ghost, quaquaval is water/fighting and meowsarada is grass/dark.
and about Paldea starters:
Skeledirge (Ghost/fire) – compare it to Alolan Marowak
Meowscarada (Grass & Dark) – compare it to Shiftry,
Quaquaval (Water & Fight) – Poliwrath
lotd of other content creators saying Skeledirge is more pvp material tahn the other two.
for Ghost/fire – you already have Chandelur, for Dark/Grass you have Zarude and for Water/Fight you already have Poliwrath.
can you also show on screen the damage and energy gain of fast moves especially when there is a choice to be made about it
ninetails is back ! i remember you using it in the poke YouTuber tournament
The TLDR version for the new starters.. none are good in GL, two of them are mid level in the UL and basically none of them are good in the master league. They need the hydro cannon, frenzy plant, blast burn com day moves
Yoo i just made a smurf account my buddy pays for a spoofing service. This is soo cheap i can catch what ever i want and trade it to my main. I’m not out of the pure fact that it ruins the experience going to do that
How do they calculate the DPE? I thought it would be damage divided by energy, but doing that results in different values than what the website has.
Been running nonshadow nine this season and it’s 50/50. I can win 4/5 in a row then get creamed for 5 in a row. Seeing tons of S.Swampert
Should give heliolisk a whirl 😉
I don’t think building the paldea starters is going to be worth it. The only one that might be useable is quaquavel to have fighting and flying attacks. But skeledirge gets destroyed by swampert, meowscarada looses to medicham, and quaquavel looses to lanturn, gligar, and wigglytuff
sad i dont have shadow one. only bad iv so not yet evolve them.. during event when it was free i evo my only vulpix and it didint get ember cause bug.. well support give me elite fast tm for that, but because i get tm im now waiting i get good iv one
I was really enjoying my shadow k9 with scorching sands until I saw lanturn everywhere
Suprised this isn't the first pokemon you tried this season
Id love to see K9 back in the viability conversation. I ran a line of trevenant, K9, and talonflame a fee seasoms ago and it was great.
Thank you for the information Dan, nice to hear a deep analysis on YT.
The past two months and specially in this season I've been running Machamp (Counter, D.Punch, R. Slide), K. Ninetales (FS, WB, SS) and my spammer and answer to water (or anything I don't have coverage for) is a Greninja (WS, NS, HC) – could you attempt to run this trio and see if it works for you? My max wins we're 8 before a full counter trio, but then back to decisive winning mostly.
So ninetails is now a decent paarings with dewgong? Dewgong does beat flyer / dragon hard and has also ground covering and can beat many waters with drill run.
So ninetails lead + dewgong save swap.
One ghost as closer. Trev sounds fine as second anti water
Quiladin is not from paldea byw
I feel Trev could be usable this season. With the absence of the flyers minus gligar at this point and having medi in the number one spot it could be of use
This is no different than the other youtubers spamming for clicks. You just happened to like 9tales even though its ranked 200+ according to PvPoke.
This team is ABB weak to nerfs.
Fantasy fooootbaaaaaall👍
Always gotta be beyond the hype!
I like the Scorching Sands time to get to, it's not much less damage output than overheat that you tested and you should get at least another fast move in to make up for the damage differential. I'm prone to go with moves I can get a charge off with my last 1-10 HP lol
Great vid. Loved the info, the fantasy football and the quilladin.
Good analysis! Good luck with your fantasy football draft I had mine last week lol
