F-Zero 99 is already the GOAT.
Super Mario RPG, Princess Peach Showtime, Mario vs Donkey Kong, Contra and Prince of Persia
Unicorn Overlord x 999999.
It is literally my most hyped game right now.
I am a HUGE Vanillaware fan and I have been waiting for their next title since 13 Sentinels.
Only an official Final Fantasy IX Remake announcement will dethrone this reveal for me.
Another Code Recollection, Princess Peach Showtime, Paper Mario TTYD and Unicorn Overlord! 2024’s gonna be another busy year.
Paper Mario. It’s pretty much my favourite game of all time, so being able to play it portable with some nice new graphics (it looks more like a remake than an upscale style port) is the dream come true for me as far as gaming is concerned – the only other game was Resident Evil 4 to get the remake treatment like 2&3 which we did.
Paper Mario with the reworked graphics is going to look sweet on the OLED screen too. Cannot wait!
Among Us.
I love the hell out of that game and have put over 200 hours into public matches. Having a new map has me stoked, and to have it announced in a Direct? Amazing.
Either super mario rpg or ttyd, I haven’t played either of them and I wanna know what the hype’s all about
Never played Thousand Year Door so I’m excited to see what all the fuss is about. And Super Mario RPG will be a very warm blanket of nostalgia. I played the hell out of that game in high school.
Gotta say though, this is the first Direct where it feels like the end of the cycle. Almost everything they announced is a port, and while I’m excited to play them, I’m not quite ready for the ride to end. Switch got me back into gaming after taking over a decade off and this is my console since the SNES…
Mario RPG and Mario Wonder.
SaGa and Shiren the Wanderer 6.
I’m super excited about Mario RPG and Thousand Year Door, and I’ve been interested in Mario Vs Donkey Kong in the past so I think this might be white I jump in
I want to be excited about Princess Peach Showtime but I feel like I still don’t really know what all you do in the game, so I’ll be excited to inevitably learn more as it gets closer
mario rpg
As someone who played almost every single Paper Mario *except* TTYD because I didn’t have a GameCube… that one. Because I’ve heard it’s the GOAT and also most like PM64 in terms of gameplay. I’m hyped to finally play it.
Princess Peach Showtime. Can’t waaaait
I’m just over here waiting for Professor Layton to get a release date
Horizon Chase is a great game so I’ll be getting the second. Even though I’m probably not the target market for the peach game I wanna play it lol. F zero 99 is cool but just makes me want a new one where Nintendo just goes all out on a weird, blistering, space racing game like the GC version. Mario be donkey Kong is actually a pretty fun game on the GBA so maybe in the future I’ll get it. But Im most looking forward to SM RPG and TTYD remake.
But I still want ANY news on Metroid (if it’s moving to switch 2) and a new Donkey Kong game as well.
Since the usual suspects have been named a few times, I’m going to go to bat for Tomb Raider Remastered. I haven’t played Tomb Raider in decades and remember loving it. Never played 2 or 3, so that will be a treat.
The 2D Prince of Persia looks interesting as well.
Contra, Dave the diver, Mario rpg and Mario vs Dk
I was genuinely surprised when I saw another code pop up. That’s what I’m excited for.
PAPER MARIO TTYD LET’S GOOOO!
Another Code R
Mario RPG, Contra: Operation Galuga, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
Paper Mario and Super Mario RPG. Two great RPGs for the Switch.
Horizon Chase 2 and F-ZERO 99
Honestly, none.
I’m in my 30s and have played Nintendo games every generation. All these remakes are sad to me. Especially when you can emulate them if you don’t own the original hardware.
I’d rather see a reveal of the Switch 2 and how it’ll change how we play when released.
I’ll pick up SMB Wonder and Princess Peach, but that’s only because they’re first party titles.
2025 will bring back the excitement, I hope anyways.
Hands down Super Mario RPG. My childhood ❤️
Prince of Persia
Warioware ofc
was intrigued by trombone champ when it first came out so also that too – looks so stupid, but in a good way haha
Dave the diver!!! I’m so ready, preordered and everything
Definitely Mario RPG, it just looks so good!
Another Code: Recollection looks so amazing. I love puzzle games, visual novels/story games and I *love* a good bundle. It’s such a great feeling to get two games in one.
Princess Peach: Showtime also looks great! It seems like my type of game and Nintendo always makes quality stuff. 🙂
F-zero 99. I absolutely love this game, even though I never played the original snes game. But I love it, and I hope it will get some updates, and maybe some dlcs as well. I’m willing to pay for this game.
I like how they acknowledge that F-Zero is a big deal, except when it comes to actually making a new game in the franchise…
Trace memory/ another code.
Remember buying trace memory back in the day and always found the sheer volume of different puzzles and story and opportunity for exploration just so fun for a ds game.
Excited to see it get some new content (by north America standards) , and also to revisit that world in 3d. (Though I was very charmed by the 2d)
No one has mentioned Wave 6 of the Booster Course Pass yet.
Time to break out Funky Kong once again, and a lot of the rumoured track picks are great choices, message me if you’re interested in knowing what’s coming:)
Unicorn Overlord, Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario TTYD since it will be my first time playing.
Probably Unicorn Overlord. That game was a surprise. Ogre Battle Vanilaware style.
Another Code!
Loved it on DS, wasn’t even aware of the sequel
Bandle Tale and Eastward DLC
TROMBONE CHAMP
Kinda sad we didnt get news on Fatal Frame like we did the past 2 years. Was hoping for FF 1, 2 and 3.
from last direct Super Mario RPG. This direct Thousand year door
Mansion 2 HD will be nice it’s been a while since many people have played it and it’s definitely going to do well on switch as those that have just joined the mansion series would try it out.
Side note: this may be a hot take but this direct screamed “end of switch nigh” especially since there wasn’t any “big” new first party Nintendo revealed here and most are just remakes (buying time to polish mk9 or new 3D Mario) most people are saying next system will be holiday of next year but it’s still a while from now that could mean the Easter direct will be void of Nintendo headline content and maybe summer too.
