So far I am about 8-10 hours into the game. This game is very obviously inspired Super Mario RPG, so it was a most play for me. Some of my thoughts:
Pros –
* Almost identically replicates Super Mario RPG’s combat and timing system mechanics
* Pretty fun characters and writing. Has some good funny lines as well
* Fairly diverse environment
Possible Cons/Fixable Issues –
* The attacking and blocking timing is…harder than I expected? Maybe I am getting old?
* Performance is mostly fine, but its definitely not smooth and doesn’t feel great.
Cons –
* The difficulty is a little much early in the game. There are times you don’t really want to cast spells because you need to reserve AP for healing.
* Some of the spell button combinations is a little cumbersome and a little hard to pull off.
Hoping to see some others giving this a try and give some thoughts!

Didnt know about this game. It looks good. Adding it to my wishlist.
It’s just a bad time for them to have made this style game. I saw it the other day and thought it looks interesting, but it looks pretty generic and not good enough to pay $20 for it. But by the time it goes on a good sale, Mario RPG will be here and people will be looking toward the Thousand Year Door.
Barely anybody knows what this game even is. Hearing it’s a knockoff Mario RPG but worse isn’t a great selling point either, especially not with the Mario RPG Remake on the horizon.
Heard more complaints about this game than positives and the dev didn’t bother to address them. So there’s that

Honestly, I just feel really bad for the devs. It took them over three years from the launch of their Kickstarter to release the game. The SMRPG remake got announced barely over a week after Limited Run Games announced they would be publishing it, and then the Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door remake got announced literally the day before Another Crusade launched. The universe is just cruel sometimes.
