Hi everyone!
My name is Kevin, and i started my own gaming studio called “Nerd With No Swag” – I released my first official game on the Nintendo switch (and steam) called HexaWars. I have also helped on an engine to bring other games to the Nintendo Switch with my Publisher Nami Tentou such as “Yeah Yeah Beebiss II”, “Doodle World Deluxe” and “OreBody – Binders Tale”.

Im a big collector of funko pops, have a huge love for the GameCube, and Pokemon (original 151 that is anyways). Also – Avatar the last air bender was one of the best written shows of all time 😀
Anyways, What do you want to know about me, the game, or just random questions we can discuss? Its going to be a fun one and could not be more excited to engage with the community 🙂

What inspired your game?
Congrats on your first release!
My question is… I love the Switch and Achievements but without a UI level solution I, like others, rely on devs including them in-game through a menu option or some such. Would I find the 10 Steam achievements in-game somewhere in the Switch version? If not, any thoughts towards patching them in at a later date?
Either way, best of luck!
Is it just single player, or have you tackled co-op for this game?
Are there leaderboards?
Fun question: What is your favorite indie game?
What the story behind the game’s name “Hexawars”? Hexagons give me the creeps probably cuz of my ocd.
I was so interested as soon as I saw the gameplay, definitely geometry wars influenced.
Do you have a girlfriend ?
Im still here and wanting to talk to you all! So far got some great input and excited to engage with all of you!
Thank you for your hard work!
What would you say was the hardest thing to program on the game? 🙂
Congratulations on the launch Looks fun. I’ll probably give it a look on Steam vs the Switch.
Huge love for Pokemon (only the original 151)… ahhh. A man of taste
