Daily reminder that KOTOR2 is incomplete and won’t be fixed.

My brother used a Gameshark on the N64 version of Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer and set a record that was impossible to beat legit. That ruined the game for me and I still haven’t recovered emotionally.

But yeah, Jedi Knight 2 and Academy was maybe _the_ best quake 3 engine game — the multiplayer was really good (especially Academy), and the single player was a lot of fun too (especially JK2). Plus I knew enough programming at the time to mod in bounce-rockets and turn off gravity; while my friend got proficient enough with the level editor to make horrible horrible traps. So fun times were had by all.

  3. Does anyone know how the controls work for the console ports of Jedi Academy? I’ve only played them with a keyboard and mouse.

  4. I sincerely think the Switch port (and PS4 port by extension) of Episode 1 Racer is the best way to play that game in this day and age.

Of course you still have the original N64 edition but then you gotta use an N64 controller. And the framerate isn’t very good.

There is a GoG PC port but it has a number of issues, specifically some weird skybox/fog colors in some stages and a memory leak that will cause the game to eventually CTD.

No such issues on the Switch port. Smooth 60 frames, no rendering issues, gameplay still feels fast and smooth. Recommend picking it up.

I’ve been wanting to replay Force Unleashed for a while.

  6. How is Force Unleashed? I never played it when it was originally out. But if it’s a bad port, I won’t bother.

How’s the first KotOR on Switch? Worth buying on Switch if you’ve already played? I think I remember the Steam version being a pain to get working in widescreen.

Ah, Knights of the Auld Republic, the little-known Scottish version.

Have they fixed the problems with Republic Commando?

Just got a Switch for my 6 year old son’s birthday. He loves Star wars, as do I, but I missed this whole era of Star Wars games. Are any of these good for kids that age?

Why are they still selling KOTOR2 when the Switch version is broken and won’t ever be fixed?

Pull it from the store. This is really scummy.
