Just delete the tasks
The real joke is as soon as you delete them a ditto will spawn. Ive had that happen.
Me too. I’m hoping that means that they will be releasing more dittos again 🤞🏼🤞🏼

My advice is to get an auto catcher. Drove home from work with mine running one day, ditto caught no idea when or where in my trip home but meltan special research task complete.
Best way to get a Ditto is to hold on to one of these tasks for a while in the hopes that you catch a Ditto, give up, delete the task then you’ll catch one.
Yeah those are hilarious, like absolutely I will save a task that gives me 2 measly goldens when I finally catch a Ditto a month later ^_^
Yes it is. Shame on them holding out hope with that snapshot one. We all know it will be a ditto task once you finish it.
Seriously, ditch the two from pokestops and grab some fresh ones. Then, as mentioned, get an autocatch. The official ones are the Plus and the Plus+ if you happen to notice a bunch of other ones out there. Haven’t had one in about a month mostly because I’m not using it when I’m out walking due to routes, but they are pretty good at scooping up random dittos and Zorua.
Wow, can’t remember the time I’ve gotten a field research to catch a ditto.
I’ve been looking for a ditto for months. I’ve caught every starly littleo and everything else but no luck. At this point I am starting to doubt they exist

Either you can delete them and get a different task or just keep them and keep hoping you will find a Ditto

Took me at least couple of months to find a ditto. Didn’t really need the candy, I had 800 at the time. I can’t say no to rare candy though.

Dittos got freakishly rare. I swear the spawn rate used to be super annoying because “Oh?” Every 15 mons got old
Plot twist, when you actually catch ditto, the rare candies are also a ditto.

I caught 2 Ditto back to back both from Litleo last night. I also had the rare candy research and held on to it for about 3 months. I seriously contemplated getting rid of it about 2 weeks ago but I’m stubborn and said F it, I’ve had it this long!
I know you can get the candies from raiding but I don’t raid often. 🤷♀️
The last time I deleted having 2 of these at once I found a ditto 10 minutes later.
I’m so so sorry.
As a completionist, I would hold on to these forever.
It was just unlucky RNG.
As others said, the second you drop it, one will probably appear. 🤦♀️

My son and I both caught a ditto 2 days ago! Don’t give up hope! They’re still out there, ours was last disguised as a litleo.. we were very surprised when it said oh and wasn’t a zorua afterwards! Good luck!
I delete these tasks the reward could be a 1000 mega mewtwo energy and id still delete it lol
You can just delete them and move on.
Just garbage it, the reward isn’t worth it anyway
