Technically, I am a F2P player. I do those google rewards surveys to get google money so I can get some in game perks. I usually just buy the 100 coins option. I tried to get some coins tonight and I thought my phone was glitching because it would not let me use my google money until I realised the price increases drastically !

We love to see it, it’s their most bought bundle so I’m guessing they’re really struggling for profits and just don’t want to make it seem that way. The sucky thing is that it’s still the most cost effective option but I might just stop buying pokecoins in general unless they actually address this with a convincing reason 😅

It made it so that the cheapest and last quantity isn’t the most cost effective anymore

Those remote raid passes just for even more expensive

Good job ninantic! I will now spend even less money on the game since the coin increase a while ago.

  6. It’s 99c for US… outside of that they’re applying exchange rate… so $1.59c AUD = 99c USD.

They keep giving me reasons to stop playing…

Because now they get 1$ usd after conversion.

It just “matches” the exchange rate now. If you’d done any of the math before, the .99c 100 coins was always the best deal, because Niantic wanted the lowest/100 coin option to cost 1$ of your local currency, for quick impulse buys, but the bigger bundles were *ALWAYS* more expensive, because the larger bundles were currency-converted from their USD price into your local price.

Looks like they just finally said “fuck it” and are making *everything* USD now.

It’s still 99 in the US so that’s all that matter to me 😜

Just checked, and it’s increased for me in Australia, too. From 0.99c to $1.59 for 100 coins.

this shit made me stop buying fifa points in fifa, so now fuck niantic not spending fucking money anymore on this shit its now $1.59 for 100 coins. It used to cost $3 for 3 remote raids its now $6.59 for 3 more then double price fuck off niantic.

  12. This is most likely a Apple Store/Google Play Store thing. Recently there have been a lot of people buying coins through VPNs from lower economy countries. In certain scenarios, coins were 5-10 times cheaper than normally in USD after conversion.
Don’t hate on Niantic, we’re getting this change because of people abusing shitty currencies.
Also just buy from their website, it’s way better in terms of deals.

Remains to be £0.99. Reckon it’s a currency adjustment of some sort.

The global 0.99c era is over. It’s now $1.69 nzd for me. Nearly double the price.

  15. People bitched enough that they finally changed it. So many people would make the observation that buying hundreds of the 99 cent bundle was cheaper than the big ones. Now it is not.

I foolishly bought 100 coins yesterday for $1.12 CAD after tax, so that checks out that the price was still $0.99, but when I checked just now the price is indeed increased to $1.39 plus tax. Sick.
