Having read all the reviews for this one, I would advise people to stay away from it until it receives a performance and a balance patch. It has lag, very very long and constant load times, lifeless NPC’s, and the business side of the game is completely out of whack, everything is very expensive and you are limited by stamina as to what you can do.
Don’t be deceived by its cute art style.

Take-aways from reviews is that if you like this sort of genre of game it has a lot to it, but the performance is a bit rough. Definitely hope the devs can tighten it up and smooth things out a bit.

I have been waiting on this game for years.

I bought it because for some reason I thought it couldn’t be that bad but yes, for a game that has been in development for an eternity with Switch as the lead platform (IIRC) this is surprisingly unpolished. From loading times that include stuttery music in the background, to very basic run-of-the-mill fonts and you can’t even close menus with B or navigate them with the d-pad. Feels very undercooked and I wonder why they didn’t just take another six months to polish it.
I’ll see if I can have fun with it but if the technical shortcomings become too much I’m going to wait for a patch.

Can confirm it is intolerably laggy. Had to restart the software twice on the first launch and it just continued from there

Just purchased it and very disappointed in the first 20 minutes or so. Very cute game and you can see the love but it just plays VERY badly, it’s EXTREMELY janky and it really breaks the immersion which, in my opinion, is one of the most important for cozy, relaxing games like these.
Really hoping the patch a lot of these problems people are mentioning bc after SO long, it deserves to play well and correctly

I thought this looked interesting until I saw the gameplay mechanics. I like the theme/concept, but the gameplay doesn’t look fun

As much as I want to love this game, it’s a little unplayable right now. The game loading times are too long. It stutters and lags to the point that I want to just close the game and wait for an update. Even the loading screen animation freezes. It happens too often for it to be enjoyable. Along with the characters that are kind of bland, they attempt to break the 4th wall too much. I don’t need them to tell me I’m playing a game every other dialogue bubble. I really wish devs would take their time to release a polished game and not release undercooked potential games. The cats and aesthetic can only take a game so far.
The arrow pads aren’t functional on the switch, only thr joystick works for selections. The music stutters frequently throughout this game. This really needs a patch, but I dont see that coming anytime soon.

I think YMMV about the jankyness in this game. It’s definitely in need of some pathces to fix some of the bugs, but most of the bugs are just loading times being long. I’ve experienced one time I had an item go invisible from my inventory but it came back after saving. Overall If you like this kind of game I personally don’t think the bugs are enough to kill it for you. Cult of Lamb has true game breaking bugs, this is mostly just kind of annoying at times.

I’ve been waiting for this game for like 5 years now so the bugs would have to be truly gamebreaking to make me pass on it. Overall a cute and fun game that scratches the itch imho.
