I did max investment Legendary Arena solos with a rival from each region [Pokemon Masters EX]

Been wanting to do a video like this for a while now and BP Barry finally made it possible.

(Yes, Blue and Nemona aren’t 5/5 so they technically aren’t max investment. Blue also doesn’t have the roll cake. But eh – it counts as a max investment run as of the time I’m posting this.)

3/5 gives Blue offensive debuffs and Synchro Healing to make the run a lot safer than it needs to be. While I could’ve done the typical “delay TM use to farm as many sync buffs as possible” strat, Latios’s attacks are weak enough for it to not be an issue.

5/5 gives Silver Unfortunate Strike, which lets him have a much larger safety net should any of Entei’s attacks hit through his evasion. It also gives Silver a way for his Triple Axels to not miss without having to go out of his way and get Pinpoint Entry.

Wally technically doesn’t need any of his 5/5 tiles to make this solo easier – 4/5 at least has Discombobulate to fish for some funny misses – but I got Fairy Zone Extension to give best boy a bit more of his zone to work with.

Sped up this run since it took twice as long as any of the other clears haha. Pretty much the same strat as the min investment run, but Barry just has a lot more bulk to work with, giving him leeway for Tornadus’ flinches, confusion, and self-cleanses.

Slightly different from the 3/5 run I did a while ago as this gets Headbutt MGR instead of Headbutt Aggravation to let Hugh burn turns faster. This did activate Hugh’s Determination though.

A slightly different approach to this solo that gets Attack Trap and TM Shielded instead of Spiky Shield MPR. The trap damage is supposed to make Bar 1 faster but it didn’t really feel like it lol.

5/5 gives Hau Unfortuitous, which lets him soften up enemy attacks and strengthen his own. Because of how bad Hau’s grid is though, he can’t get all of Power Plant, Unfortuitous, TM MPR, and Team Altered Field Dodge, so I gave up the latter here. This does mean that Hau gets hit a lot more often, but with enough luck the opponents will be doing less damage anyway.

This uses Hop’s power boost, which gives him an increase in his defensive stats as well as First Aid 4. Shout out to the double para proc at the very end.

4/5 gives Nemona Team Evasive Maneuvers to fish for some lucky misses, which I initially thought was needed for her solos but she ended up being able to solo quite a lot of stages with just her 3/5 grid. Still, the evasion buffs make this a bit less reliant on flinches, even though I ended up getting very lucky with them here.
