Just one of 1000s of reasons I hate costumes on pokemon. I got rid of my shiny detective back during the first event.
Would have loved a slowking with hat on its hat

I dont know what language this is in but i absolutely love that slowpokes name is flegmon
Hate is perhaps overly strong
It makes sense in this case though, since Slowpoke can evolve into Slowking, who already gets a ‘Shellder’ on it’s head. So the hat would either clip or look ridiculous (and not in a good way)
Of course they could’ve at least allowed it to evolve into Slowbro (who doesn’t have this issue), so…
Absolutely pointless. Give me a friggin cowboy hat Slowking or don’t give me anything at all.
Give it 7 1/2 years and you’ll get your evolution.
It would cost them another half hour of labor to have the intern slap a hat on the evolutions, unacceptable!
I got one too! I was super excited, then I was super bummed.
The only ones I could understand are the fully costumed ones or the balloon Pikachu but they should all be able to evolve. Why can birthday Squirtle and Charmander evolve but Bulbasaur cannot?

It’s so sad that costume pokemon like these can’t evolve and costumes aren’t kept when mega evolving. Would be so cool to have a mega blastoise with sunglasses or mega slowbro with cowboy hat
They have in the past added evolutions for some event Pokémon so it definitely be worth holding on to just in case

Why do I need to keep every single different event pokemon? Why can’t catching the respective ‘mon open up costume options for it, so I only need to *catch* Detective and can apply the costume to the one shiny Pikachu I have, or to my high 3-star one?

They legitimately could have made at least a Slowking evolution where its crown is replaced by the hat
