The tables are pretty straight forward as to what your odds are that you encounter a hundo bird. Me personally the levels don’t matter or how high the cp is. Any galarian bird is worth catching but in my eyes only a hundo g bird is worth using the master ball.

I honestly had no idea running into them was so rare because I just started playing again a month ago – and in my first week of playing again, I saw all 3, so I just thought daily adventure incense spawned them once every time if you walked a good enough distance

I used my masterball on moltres, then caught zapdos the next day w ultra+golden raz. Both 3⭐. Got super lucky.

I wouldn’t. All pokemon eventually have a shiny release from a special event or through raiding. Why would I use a masterball on something that eventually will have a shiny release?

Is the only way to catch a bird with Master Ball and golden raspberry? I missed one yesterday with an ultra ball and golden raspberry but it hit its shoulder ball shook one it’s escaped and ran.

Idk why everyone dogs on G.Zapdos I think he looks the coolest out of the 3, like a spicy chicken. Imo articuno is the worst but that sucks the CP was so high, better luck next time. I’ve only ever seen one and I clicked it and clicked out of it thinking it was an error and it fled 🥲

Unpopular opinion here, but I wouldn’t.
A hundo G-Zapdos is 2940 CP at Lv 29 and 3042 CP at Lv 30.
This falls in between those. So it’s not a hundo.
I’d rather keep my master ball for a Pokémon that I’m guaranteed to keep and use. Since there are no bottle caps in this game, this is not one of them.
I’d give it a golden razz and an ultra ball, I’d try my best to get a tight excellent curve, beyond that, if it runs it runs.
I can always do another DAI tomorrow, the day after, the day after that. I can get more encounters way easier than I can get a hundo Legendary.
To date, I’ve seen 2 hundo Kyogre, 2 hundo Rayquaza, 1 hundo Moltres, 1 hundo Armored Mewtwo all flee after 16+ Golden Razz / Excellent curves in raids. I’d hold my master balls to make sure that when I’m in a scenario like that I can bust it out on my last ball to avoid that feeling.
If this was a hundo, I’d do it, but it’s not.
That said, even a hundo G-Zapdos isn’t particularly great.
It ranks [#53 in Master League](https://pvpoke.com/rankings/all/10000/overall/zapdos_galarian/), as a Fighting type for PvE there are many better options (Mega Blaziken, Keldeo, Terrakion, Shadow Machamp, Shadow Hariyama, Mega Alakazam with Focus Blast, Mega Gallade, Conkeldurr, Lucario, Machamp, Shadow Poliwrath, and Shadow Blaziken), and as a Flying type for PvE theres over 30 better options, including Kantonian Zapdos with Drill Peck.
At some point, eventually, these will be featured in an event or as a raid boss. You can easily get one then.
