Big shout out to Giselle Fernandez for their performance as Daisy. I’ve been playing as Daisy this whole time and their performance is Nearly indistinguishable from Deanna Mustard’s Daisy voice. They did an amazing job!

I couldn’t tell some of them changed so that shows they’re all doing a great job.

I really don’t like the new Mario and Luigi.
It sounds like someone trying to sound like Charles Martinet, but less expressive and distinct.
It baffles me how folks are saying they can’t tell a difference.

…Did Nintendo seriously replace Princess Daisy’s long-standing voice actress (particularly the vocal-performance originator of the lovely plus notable “Hi, I’m Daisy!” quote from *Mario Kart: Double Dash*), Deanna Mustard? 😑 Why? I hope that this recast was more due to an actual/legitimate need (namely, unavailability of, health of, and/or role-declination by the original voice actor) rather than something annoying like “cost-cutting” (although *sometimes* that’s a valid reason, in my opinion), “we wanted to go in a different direction / artistic license” (even though Daisy *is* Nintendo’s character, so Nintendo is understandably free to recast as they see fit), or “change for the sake of change / recency”. The momentous “Mario/Luigi voice” recast away from Charles Martinet to Kevin Afghani was a bit sad to endure already… 😞
Fortunately, it looks like Giselle Fernandez’s “Princess Daisy” vocal performance apparently is a decent job done and a near-match vocal for the Deanna Mustard “Princess Daisy” voice of recent years from other people’s early impressions, so that’s a positive – I’m willing to give Giselle’s version a chance whenever I try out *Super Mario Bros.: Wonder*…

I feel like I’m the only person who actually enjoys the talking flower. It’s (hes?) often funny and endearing.

I’m delighted that Christine Marie Cabanos voiced the Poplins. I enjoyed her voicework in other video games and anime.

What about the toads?

I wonder what made them spring to replace the actors for this game. Peach and Bowser are the same, but there’s Mario, Luigi, Daisy, and Yoshi that all have new VAs.
I guess Nabbit too but fair enough, I don’t recall what Nabbit sounds like off the top of my head.

So it seems the only characters keeping their old voices are Peach, the Toads, Toadette (all three of whom have the same actor), Bowser, and Bowser Jr. Five characters, three actors.
I also feel like Peach and Bowser had different voice direction too. It was undeniably the same actors, but they still sound a bit different.

I can’t believe Dawn Bennett is voicing Ravio in this game.

Do we know why they react a bunch of voice actors?

To save a click:
* Kevin Afghani (Arnold in *Genshin Impact*) voices Mario and Luigi
* Giselle Fernandez (Malice and Neimi in *Fire Emblem Heroes*, Milio in *League of Legends*) voices Daisy
* Dawn M. Bennett (female Shez in *Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes*, Lilac in *Freedom Planet*) voices Nabbit
* Christine Marie Cabanos (Mako Mankanshoku in *Kill la Kill*, Azusa Nakano in *K-On!*, Sailor Saturn in *Sailor Moon*, Hapi in *Fire Emblem: Three Houses* and *Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes*, Acerola in *Pokémon Masters EX*, Nepgear in the *Neptunia* series) voices the Poplins

I actually really like the new Mario voice, more than I thought it would
Chickenbrik
I personally hate them. Mario can be bareable at best but Luigi is a hard no. Just found out that you can turn off flower or change its language.
GamingSophisticate
Mario sounds like Mickey Mouse and this game and it’s kinda off putting

It’s crazy to think if Kazumi Totaka doesn’t voice Yoshi and Birdo anymore, that means the longest concurrent tenure is Samantha Kelly as Toadette in Double Dash
