Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.

Pokemon GO has just announced the Adventures Abound season featuring the pokemon found in the Paldea Region. This season of GO Battle League features a significant move updates includes nerfs, buffs, and new moves. In total it came with over 150 move updates.

With all these move updates, this video will focus on pokemon that received a significant buff for this upcoming season of GO Battle League either through moves specifically being buffed or access to new moves.

This week it is great league and sunshine cup.

Steels have taken a huge hit this season. Less flyers, more medicham, more pokemon with ground moves. Shadow Mawile is a nice answer as it is half fairy so can deal with medicham and a few other meta pokemon.

  1. “Surprising” I’ve had mine built a year ago and always use to destroy, even the same line up you have.

  2. For anybody interested I hit legend today with Haxorus lead, licky and steelix in the back – I've ran it all week and jumped about 200 points with it. Hax with dragon tail instead of counter, breaking swipe and surf. People don't expect Hax to have counter so they often swap in medis or gligars which you can play out to keep them away from your back line. The team has several core breakers such as sandslash, A9 & azumirill leads, but it still worked I barely had any negative sets & had with plenty of 4-1 & 5-0. Sandlash leads are hard to win – I don't know in the lower ELO, but above 2700 people expect Hax to have counter so about 90% of sandslash leads just swap out right away and this usually wins me the match by lining it up to licky. It's an odd team because the majority of the time I play out leads with Hax and try to win by shielding once and having a breaking swipe for the next pokemon, so I rarely safe switch, but if I do it's usually to steelix. There's a small learning curve to figure out when to shield Hax and how to play different match ups, but having 2 mons with breaking swipe is extremely annoying for the other team specially if you can land one on their last mon and still have licky left with its bulk.

  3. i cant believe you showcasing this… I've had a couple of days trying the same mawile setup, pretty funny tbh. I feel it works well with swampert, still trying to figure out the third poke, preferible spicy one 😀

  4. I use Clefery, its not steel and shadow, but it have Moonblast and Meteor Mash and it also break stuff. My Mawile haves firefang and pup and I play it with shadow Grandbull and Vic. She melt faces…

  5. Dan, do I NEED the shadow?? I want to build a mawile team so bad but don’t have a good shadow

  6. Been trying to build one for awhile now. I swear he was so hard to find in the wild gen 3 day

  7. wow nice ivs on that shadow mawile! i'm powering up a rank 39 that i might use for the halloween cup

  8. I have a 0/14/14 shadow mawile I've been waiting to build. I won't allow myself to drop below 2 million stardust. So I need another 350 for it lol😊

  9. Had a busy week but gonna go watch the vids I missed, hope they get the attention they deserve 🙏. Ur Legit my top 3 poketubers Dan, hope the fam is well

  10. If you really want to rattle some brains and toy with baits, you could try FW + Play Rough and PuP. Nothing wants to take a Play Rough in the 0s, they almost always shield if it matters. Also throws off opponents counts when they get surprised and give Mawile a little play against Steels. It was fun when i used it, haven't messed with it recently.

Granted, it takes away Iron Head's coverage, so Fairy and Poison matchups and will be worse and things that take 2 Iron Heads won't be inclined to shield (so it's MUCH harder to bait with PuP) and it will take 2 Play Roughs instead which is slower. If it's a good matchup, it's great! If it's a bad matchup, well…

  11. 7:12 for the future, you can flip medi gligar match up with just going ice punch since you had one counter advantage. 😉
