It was 15-14-15, by the way. I know this because others caught the same mon. Of course the only person to get a shiny one has it flee…. Golden razz, ultra ball, and great throw wasn’t good enough for a goddamn Zubat.

    I noticed that Niantic somehow made it Nintendo hard to catch some pokemons these days. One shot, 2 at most, and it runs. Also lots with a cp under 100 break out of the ball where that used to be ‘guaranteed’ catches. I hardly have use for normal pokeballs anymore as no pokemon can be caught with it.

    Completely sucks when that happens with a shiny with those stats! My condolences…

    I always hit shinies with a golden razzberry and whatever highest pokeball I have at the time (aside from the masterball). Can’t ever be too sure

    All my years of playing this dreaded game and having hundreds of horrid encounters with that tiny bat, I have never encountered a shiny version…

    Zubats are such a pain to catch. Been farming them because I caught a hundo one.

    So I’m so confused about the shinies thing, at what point does a shiny not become a catch cause shouldn’t the be guaranteed? I’ve never once had one flee and I usually get them in the first or second ball

    Hmm. Zubat should easily be a 100% catch rate with the parameters that op described, something isnt adding up here.

    Did you have a Go Plus device connected?

    Level 9 Zubat W/ golden razz and ultra ball is 100% catch. Something else was at play here (speed cap perhaps? Or you had your autocatcher on and it had already run {straight throw Pokeball catch would have been 75%})

    Shinies can run!? The only time I had one “run” was because my pokemon go plus + caught it!! I though they only genuinely ran if you were going over like 15 mph??
