Pokemon Go

Anyone else have eggs that flash as being from Tokyo Japan for a second before showing correct location?

I posted under the flair “bugs” but apparently that flair doesn’t allow screenshots smh

The default location for the variable is in Tokyo Japan. That variable gets overridden by your location data so if it takes a second to get your location or your GPS glitches it shows the default value

Mine always show from Tokyo, Japan. Sometimes where I catch a pokemon too it says Tokyo. It’s made me wonder if the entire world is really just Tokyo.

I’ve had them flash as Tokyo, but I also have some Pokémon that just flat up show the wrong location. I live in Ohio, and I’ve had several Pokémon I’ve caught just out on my typical driving routes show that they were caught in Elkton, Kentucky…. which is smack dab next to the border of Tennessee last time I checked. I even have one Pokémon hatched from an egg where the game just had a stroke and never figured out where I hatched it, even though I can literally tell you where I did, I have no idea why it did that.

  6. Yes! I thought I was seeing things! It happened too fast for a screen shot.

Yep, common visual bug. I suppose Tokyo is the filler location since it’s a Japanese game and all.
