Oh no Little Timmy might have to struggle for a little bit in his game. He might not get it on his first try?! Horrors! If you want to know why Fromsoftware fans are so defensive of their game’s difficulty, well here is your answer. Wonder likely is no more harder than your average modern game and yet this idiot who probably struggled on the tutorial to Cuphead is complaining about it

Mario is a game for everyone so this is a valid concern

I mean… not every game needs to be optimised for families. When I was young the games we were playing were pretty hard cause they weren’t really targeted at children. My brother and me had a blast anyway.

I tried to play with my kids. Only one player control the scrolling, which is fine usually when that’s me, but when I die then they get to control the scrolling and it’s bloody awful.

At least give us as option to make the same player control the scrolling all the time, that’s all what we need …

  5. Sounds like this parent wants to be too soft when playing video games . Back when I was four playing Mario on the nes, I had to learn to play and if I died, I had to start over. We didn’t have the option for characters who couldn’t get hurt.

A split screen mode would sure be nice, like sonic 2 had. I’m the biggest Mario fan but wish they had split screen more often

Honestly the crown switching feels a bit shit playing with three adults, I can imagine it being an utter nightmare with a small child.

Made it work despite the constant “daaaaaad slow down….daaaad you’re killing me”
Admittedly I did sorta miss the zoom out camera from prior 2d entries

Isn’t this how all the 2d Mario local co-op play has worked? There has always been 1 camera and used bubbles to get people back on the screen that died.

If you’re a parent playing with your young children, play as Yoshi. They can ride you and the power ups you get go straight to the bank for them.

I am a bit annoyed there isn’t an option for an Invincible character for my 3yr old to control… Yoshi doesn’t really help, he just keeps getting squashed by the side of the screen

  12. I’ve seen similar views from a lot of parents. I’m enjoying the absolute hell out of this game playing on my own, but the easy modes really don’t seem well thought out.

What’s this about getting a gold flag and why does it matter?

  14. Yeah this is my complaint,I dunno why they changed the camera system

Essentially relegated the game to single player only in the house. Otherwise, there’s heightened frustration, people ready to give up, insults and instead want to play Watermelon Game.
