Idk how but I chipped the metal joycon locks

I upgraded the joycon locks/latches in my favorite green joycons about 2 years ago. Then just the other day I noticed the left joycon popped off way easier then it should have. Started inspecting everything including the rail since I assumed the metal locks wouldn’t have been the concern. eventually figured out that I somehow chipped the upgraded metal latch. Idk how. I don’t recall dropping it and I very rarely take the joycons off as I typically use a pro controller when docked. Thankfully I had spares since the metal ones came with 2 sets.

Doesn’t that wear on the railing of the actual switch?

It’s pot steel, very cheap shit.

I stopped using those locks on my joycons because I heard that they wear the railings on the Switch much more than plastic ones.

New Nintendo products ate so wimpy a game boy lasted through an explosion in Cuba but you look at the switch wrong and it gets a scratch or stick drift
