0:00 – Vs. Latias: Support Diglett / EX NY Lillie
7:30 – Vs. Raikou: Support Diglett / EX Maxie
9:44 – Vs. Registeel: Support Diglett / Tech Sprigatito / EX Wally
13:03 – Vs. Raikou: Support Diglett / Support Primeape / Clay
Support Diglett/Dugtrio is quite interesting as it’s a speedmon with some Tech utility. It’s quite similar to Support Sandslash in that it buffs +6 Speed and +2 Attack and can debuff accuracy, but it takes it further and also debuffs speed. It also has Lithe, and those who played the most recent Gauntlet know how valuable this is as a passive lol.
I was lucky enough to hatch one early so I figured I’d do some LA clears with DigDig. Here’s how each battle went and the sync grids used:
Vs. Latias: Support Diglett / EX NY Lillie – https://ng-pomatools.web.app/team?v0=005120&s0=1&l0=140&r0=1&p0=0&a0=18040702&t0=44&n0=1&f0=0&v1=011801074300&s1=1&l1=140&r1=5&p1=0&a1=21010101&t1=44444&g1=AAECAwQFBgcICQoMERMUGhscHR4gJSYnKA&v2=0
Support Diglett follows in Strike and Tech Cubone’s footsteps in that since it’s able to debuff both speed and accuracy, it can counter Latias’s Fluid Fortification on its own. Since I wanted to duo though, I gave DigDig Defense Crush 2 as a lucky skill for even more debuffs, and it’s particularly helpful for NY Lillie as it makes her heals stronger. Aside from those, Lillie also appreciates the maxed out speed for her move spam, the accuracy debuffs so that her evasion buffs are at the best odds of fishing for misses, and Diglett’s 1-bar spam to burn turns more easily.
This’ll definitely be easier if Lillie was at a higher move level but I did want to show that it was possible even at 1/5.
Vs. Raikou: Support Diglett / EX Maxie – https://ng-pomatools.web.app/team?v0=005120&s0=1&l0=140&r0=1&p0=0&a0=21010101&t0=44&n0=1&f0=0&v1=019200038300&s1=3&l1=140&r1=5&p1=0&a1=21010101&t1=44444&g1=AAECAwQFBgcICRESExYZGygrLQ&v2=0
While the previous clear was slow and steady, this one wants to get it over with as soon as possible lol. Diglett’s kit was pretty much made to counter Raikou, down to it having Lithe, and Maxie appreciates getting the speed buffs. I was also lucky in getting misses from the accuracy debuffs here.
Vs. Registeel: Support Diglett / Tech Sprigatito / EX Wally – https://ng-pomatools.web.app/team?v0=005120&s0=1&l0=140&r0=1&p0=0&a0=21010101&t0=44&n0=1&f0=0&v1=012800047500&s1=5&l1=140&r1=5&p1=0&a1=13010602&t1=44444&g1=AAECAwQFBxESExUWFxgbHB0gLzAxMzQ&v2=090640&s2=1&l2=140&r2=1&p2=0&a2=18040702&t2=44&n2=1&f2=0
Diglett boosts ally speed and debuffs enemy speed, making it have great synergy with the bunch of units that have both Inertia and Cakewalk. Of course, I went with best boy to demonstrate that, and since I used him against Registeel I also brought along a Defense Crush 2 Sprigatito for the flinches and Defense debuffs.
Vs. Raikou: Support Diglett / Support Primeape / Clay – https://ng-pomatools.web.app/team?v0=005120&s0=1&l0=140&r0=1&p0=0&a0=21010101&t0=44&n0=1&f0=0&v1=003300053700&s1=5&l1=140&r1=3&p1=0&a1=21010101&t1=44111&g1=AAECAwQFBgcJDA8QExgdICIv&v2=005720&s2=1&l2=140&r2=1&p2=0&a2=18040702&t2=44&n2=1&f2=0
It was only because of this video that I found out Clay has Ramming Speed on his grid lol. While Support Primeape isn’t able to max out his crit, it does have Brick Break to remove Raikou’s shields.

Support Digglet is one of my favorite eggmons. It's really cool what having a couple decent moves can do for it
Fluid Fortification? Not on their wiggly-watch!
