Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.
Pokemon GO has just announced the Adventures Abound season featuring the pokemon found in the Paldea Region. This season of GO Battle League features a significant move updates includes nerfs, buffs, and new moves. In total it came with over 150 move updates.
With all these move updates, this video will focus on pokemon that received a significant buff for this upcoming season of GO Battle League either through moves specifically being buffed or access to new moves.
This week it is ultra league and halloween cup. Halloween is one of the best limited cups as most of the top open great league meta pokemon are not allowed and the typings allowed (poison, bug, ghost, dark, and fairy) are not the most common typings used.
I hit legend for the 15th straight time in Pokemon Go Battle League. Here is my legend team.

Thanks for your videos, Dan. This is my first PvP season, hadn't played since Pre-COVID, and am currently sitting at 2855 playing only OGL and Halloween Cup. Looking to make a legend push in the final month of this season. All pokemon I'm using have been caught this season and have been having a lot of fun learning the game. I definitely think your outro is correct and on the nose. If I can get this high in just my first season, I'm sure others can also. Been using your videos as a resource and they've helped me a lot learning the game.

What could I use if I don’t have runerigus?
The biggest problem with GBL outside of the algorithm and the cheaters is that ELO ranking and it needs to be done away with. Reaching Ace and Legend need to be based on winning a certain number of matches, not how many in a row you can win. The best players will get their first, but those that are not as skilled are still able to get there if they grind. The current set up doesn’t give people a reason to play past 20.

Congrats on your nice run in Regionals. I’m down 200 ELO as I’ve been hard countered since last Thursday in at least two sets if not three. Had 2-3, 1-4 and 0-5 at times.

I would prefer shorter seasons. Because for people like me who are always expert and CAN get legend sometimes it feels just bad to hover always short before legend… It is just a bad feeling and I get annoyed so hard.
Getting to 29xxish then drop. Then get up again. Then drop.

Shorter seasons means it is over quick and go again.
I should feel GOOD for beeing expert. Heck it is the second best rank… But the long seasons deny that.

I have almost all pokes. Only carbink missing. I count. I know team builds.
Nope it is not so easy
That is why I like more fixed metals. I build an all round team with a off meta pick which plays good vs the meta and then hope to get a streak to legend and it is also more fun. I hate pure meta teams and love to counter them.

yeah I hit Veteran (2nd time ever) with a Runerigus lead team (+charjabug and guzzlord), got over 250 elo in two days, then the meta changed and I started getting loads of Azumarill leads with nidoqueens in the back that just destroyed my team and started losing 100 elo a day…
