Oh is that the crappy Mario party or the good one? Isnt superstars the better one?

If no physical game is included then I’m not interested. And please stop calling stuff “bundles” when there’s no physical game included! Just sell them as joycons and put a “digital download included in purchase ” wording on the packaging.

Full game download, maybe if it’s the same price as Joy-Cons alone…

Why would someone want Super Mario Party from 2018 with very little content and no new dlc boards over Mario Party Superstars from 2021? Nintendo is very odd with their bundles in the last few years.

I don’t think either Mario Party’s are good. Superstars doesn’t even let you do 2v2 teams. Joy-Cons are awful. Digital copy and not physical… The packaging is 10x the size it needs to be. But, it’ll still sell.
EDIT: I’m a little harsh on Superstars. It did fix a lot of my complaints with SMP. Still feels flawed in some areas though.

Costco has good GC.

Really should have been the other one.
KidFlash999
Fun mini games that will use the joycons, but the actual board gameplay was terrible.

All this game needed was a map pack dlc. Of the 4 maps it shipped with, only 2 were consistently playable. It’s so weird that they’ve abandoned it for years and now are trying to bundle it.

The entire Mario Party series is awful

I really hope Switch two axes the whole double controller BS the switch has. Despite the console being wildly successful, the Joycons are just awful.
I don’t know anyone who seriously considers them as legitimate separate controllers, yet hardware wise they technically are, and thus they charge $80 for a set when even 50 for a controller is on the pricy side.
I do miss the wii days where they’d bundle decent game with a controller for a proper discount. Odyssey and Botw 1 are plenty old, it wouldn’t kill them to bundle those with a controller.

Ugh more pushing of download only games. No thanks!

I think what someone should ask themselves before buying this is do you need another pair of Joycons? If yes, then ask yourself, would you paid $20 for Super Mario Party? If that answer is also yes, then go ahead and buy this.
Personally, I can answer yes to both questions, but I also would rather wait and see if Costco runs a sale on Joycons since they are usually $10 cheaper there than other retailers.

WHY? Lol this game has been dead for years with not a single drop of DLC support. Superstars is the way better and more relevant Party game to include.

I picked up the joycon bundle back when the original joycon bundle was released. I’m not sure why they ever discontinued it. It also included a physical copy.
The joycon bundle made the game worth the money as you were just paying for the joycons at that point.

I’m assuming the next Mario Party game, presumably on the Switch’s successor, will be Superstars 2 with an emphasis on the GameCube games like Superstars had with the N64 games.
I just hope there’s more than 5 boards this time. The only other games in the series with 5 or fewer boards are 10 (car party *shudders*) and DS. Obviously Super Mario Party only has 4 but that’s already been mentioned in this thread.

Ah the “OK” Mario party. Hate the partner dice blocks but everything else is fine. Nothing special but, it isn’t Mario party 10.

Shows as “coming soon” in Canada but based on the US price and the fact that they Canadian one says “up to $49.99 in savings” (despite not actually listing a price), it seems like a decent deal if you’re in the market for an extra set of joy-cons, despite general agreement that this is not the best Mario Party game on the Switch.

Digital download code instead of physical; what a step down from the original bundle
