Tldr: iGN rated it 9 out of 10 (on PC, apparently runs poorly on switch)

    Amazing

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 knocks nearly every single one of the first game’s problems into the blast zone while also introducing the exciting new Slime mechanic, a more interesting roster, and better visuals throughout.

This is their PC review btw not a Switch review.

Nintendo Life gave it a 5/10 for the Switch version with the negatives being:

    – 30 FPS.

    – Looks like shit.

    – Runs like shit.

    – Looooong load times.

  3. Fair Play Labs needs separate themselves from Game Mill, it’s clear this team is passionate and knows how to develop a fighter but everything Game Mill touches is awful in some form or another. Honestly IGN should consider all versions in this review especially when the standard is Smash. Game Mill definitely pushed this out rushed since the first game released only 2 years ago. The character roster makes it feel like it was supposed to be a series of large DLC additions to the original game (which was also received well beyond where corners were cut to save on costs). Like why are there only 2 of each ninja turtle in each respective game? They added Rocksteady but not Bebop for some reason? There are 11 fully built out characters and move sets from the first game that they decided to just swap out for new characters instead. It seems deliberately predatory based on Game Mill’s practices with licensed games, little kid wants to play a game as Leonardo, Grandma sees a turtle on the box for Brawl 2 and buys it for kid, but Leonardo isn’t in the second only the first.

Nickelodean, that is the sequel of the bootleg of the copy of Smash, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.

In all seriousness, I hope this is not one of the games that gets fixed early after release, making it run at a better-than-just-playable quality, only to have missed its opportunity to be well known do to the critics and early adopters.

  5. Anyone know if this game added tap jumping like Smash Bros?

I’ll admit I was thinking of picking this up for Switch since I had the first one on that platform and had a good time. The fact that the sequel runs like shit, loads ridiculously slow, and isn’t even on the cart for physical has me just considering on getting it for my Xbox instead.
