Will this game be fun for someone who has no nostalgia tied to it? I did not grow up playing this or other RPGs for that matter. How does everyone assume it will hold up?

I cant wait for christmas as I plan to buy a copy for my nephew. I first played the game when I was 8-9ish and since he just turned 9 I get to share one of my favorite rpgs with him.

This was my absolute favorite SNES game as a kid and I begged for it for Christmas the year it came out to only get it right before I got 64 in 1999…played the shit out of it tho and never was able to beat the secret boss so that is for sure on my list to do this time!

Man, I’m glad I was only able to see screenshots as a kid. Most of what I saw, especially those colored vines played with my imagination a lot on what this game was. I didn’t have an SNES and only had a Sega but man did it make me want this game.
I had no idea Bowser would eventually end up on my team and once that happened, it blew my mind. I felt like the most powerful team there could be.
