So Nintendo’s big game won the Nintendo award? This feels like when your manager wins employee of the year.

I feel like totk improved upon botw in every way. A landmark achievment for the Switch and Nintendo.

Yet Baldur’s Gate 3 was released this year, so it’s going to sweep all the awards and honestly it deserves it.

For those wondering: Baldur’s Gate 3 won thier general GOTY award.

For those who want to skip the Twitter link, [HERE](https://www.gamesradar.com/golden-joystick-awards-2023-winners/) is the full list of winners.

Other notable winners include Sea of Stars winning best Indie Game and Cocoon winning the Breakthrough Award.

Larian won Best Studio, likely because of Baulder’s Gate 3, but their previous works include Divinity: Original Sin II.

Mortal Kombat 1 won Best Multiplayer, but likely not for the Switch version.

No Man’s Sky won Still Hanging Around for it’s continued updates. What’s notable is that the category includes many service games, which rely on a steady stream of new content after release.

Didn’t realize Nintendo had its own category lol.

does the golden joystick have drift?

I liked Wonder a lot better, I was hoping it could sneak the award. TotK just felt too much like BotW to be my personal choice.

Well deserved, but this surprised to absolutely no one, lol. What other Switch game could compete to TOTK?

  10. DillDowDong

    I bet that joystick doesn’t drift……

These awards are just an Internet poll.

We await the real gaming end of year awards!
