There was a lot of 2024 stuff for a showcase put out in November. I expected it to be more about stuff that came out before Christmas.

This may have been the weakest showcase since the Switch released.

This indie direct was lame. There was not one game that got me excited. Usually they have a few that make me interested.

Can Nintendo please hire people with less annoying voices for these directs? Makes it so hard to listen to.

Well, I guess we can’t have banger showcases left and right

The Shantae announcement was cool but I had 0 excitement over basically anything else. Outer wilds I suppose is something but it got leaked early

That on your tail game looks amaizng. Seems to blend animal crossing, with puzzle vibes

So we’re out of stuff till switch 2 lol

“I didn’t even wish for that one”

…Amber and Andrew we only just met but I already hate your existence.

Just a wet rag of announcements
ReturnOfTheJurdski
Just got Backpack Hero on an impulse and its really fun so far. Ironic because I just finished Alan Wake 2 and found weird enjoyment in organizing my inventory in that so this hits a weird niche I didn’t know I had.
I also have an addiction to buying every roguelike that looks interesting on Switch bc they are perfect in handheld. Usually suck at them but I keep trying lol So this kind of scratched two itches.

Moonstone Island saved the showcase tbh

None of these games were compelling at all. There is zero chance I would every play any of these. It seems like they all are hiding their lack of ability to make things look good by couching these games in Pixel-art, or “hand-drawn,” or weird cat cartoons.
Not only that, but altogether too many games are thematically the same: some quirky girl needs to explore some attractive locale in order to find clues so she can discover what happened to a parent. I think there were three in this Indie World alone.

As someone who was addicted to stardew and put in over 250 hours I’ll need to keep my eye on that moonstone game
