Pre-ordered when the gameplay videos dropped. It is ugly. And the load times are pretty long compared to other platforms. But I knew that going into it and set my expectations accordingly. Honestly it runs much better than it has any business running on such dated hardware.
Overall I’ve really enjoyed my first 3ish hours and don’t regret picking it up at all.

You guys could instead play the critically acclaimed Xenoblade Chronicles series which recently culminated with Future Redeemed, a DLC expansion for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 that pays homage to not only the mainline series with characters and easter eggs, but also the broader xeno meta series that includes Xenoblade Chronicles X, Xenogears and the Xenosaga Trilogy

I’m playing it handheld on the oled and it’s far prettier than any of the gameplay videos or the trailer. I saw a tip on YouTube that helped a lot. In the beginning, when it asks to adjust the screen until the image is barely visible, make sure it is, in fact, barely visible. As barely visible as you can get it without it being invisible. If you mess that up the game looks much worse, apparently. I haven’t tested the alternative but I will say it looks loads better than I thought having watched plenty of gameplay videos.
