I do too. I use it to count my steps. The end of the week overview is super satisfying when you have a monstrous amount of steps!

It was supposed to be getting my kids outside to exercise, but I ended up being the one who got hooked.

Yep. Played hard the first 2 years. Stopped playing because life got busy. Wife and I got back from Hawaii In July and I saw the pics of me on the beach and was like yep I’m redownloading and walking again. Already lost 30lbs thanks to Pokémon go…… and kicking soda, fast food, and other junk food from the diet as well

Yes, that’s why we were really excited when routes were introduced. It makes our walking paths a little more exciting.

I walk a lot more, averaging 40km a week. Doesn’t really make much difference to my fitness, but nice to get out for a while.

Woohoo!!! Proud of you!!!
I also got that just last week. Now at 10,035.2.
My biggest issue now is I finally got an autocatcher (the PoGo Plus+) but all 3 weeks my mileage on the Monday morning rewards is down 20-30%, so it’s not tracking as much as I used to. And I have no idea how to fix this. But i guess I already hit 10K so should t worry about it.

10,000 steps minimum per day all year. Plenty of eggs and catches…but also a 11kg weight loss.
Walking is boring…but this keeps forcing me to go out to get gyms, do raids, catch those mons etc

Yea me . Trying to walk 12km a day .exept for the weekends

I run 4 miles a day about 5 times a week. If there is an event going that I like, then my running stretches throughout the event and my day off is when it’s over, lol.

There are better video games in the world. But only PoGo will get me to walk 20km chasing shinies.
Four straight weeks over 100km. Go me.
Ryan_Sears
Yep. Mostly use it as a GPS
Also works as a turist map:
-look here is a museum, and there a famous statue. And thats a colorful graffiti, and and park bench. And a different graffiti, and a lightpole….OK perhaps dont replace TripAdvisor with Pokemon Go

I gotta say I have been outside more ever since playing this game

Me and my brother don’t really talk but used to compete against each other to walk the furthest in a week.
He doesn’t play anymore but I still walk as much as possible just incase he started up again secretly, then sends me a good week.

These incubators need to cost less though so I can make use of how much I walk at work :/

I spend about 1-3 hours (depending on the weather and how busy my day was) after working walking around playing PoGo every day. Between 7-10km a day (I walk slow) for 4 weeks now. Walking is boring, playing a game is fun- walking while gaming fixes all my issues (or most, would like more friends to meet up with)

pokémon go is definitely the only game that gets people to walk 20 kilometers a day to get a singular virtual berry for the pokémon they will never power up 😭
doozydud
In attempts to continue my catch and spin streaks I’ve forced myself to go outside on weekends even if its just to my closest pokestop, but then while I’m out I’m like well might as well jog or go on a route…thus helping me avoid that weekend feeling of “i just wasted away in bed all weekend”

It was originally meant to be that, yes. 😂

I primarily play because I enjoy it, however I have to say I am exercising a lot more since starting and it’s a really great bonus incentive.
TheRagingEnby
I play Pokémon GO to help me walk 5 miles a day
Radhatchala
I downloaded it again this year because I moved to a new state and needed a reason to get out and explore. Was dealing with major anxiety and PoGo literally gave me a reason to get up and leave the house. Still walk over 50km every week, was doing much more back then. Have been a lifelong Pokémon fan and the nostalgia/comfort of the characters paired with the incentive to be active has been a lifesaver for me. It’s not a perfect game, but it would have blown my mind when I was a little kid. And it’s more than good enough.

Not really? It doesn’t register my steps half the time. I think it’s been better lately, but I definitely had days where I worked like a 12 hour shift running around with my phone in my pocket and it’s like “oh hey you walked .01 km today good job” and I log into the actual step tracking app on my phone and it’s like “actually you walked about 5 miles today, sorry about that egg bro lol”
roryorigami
If it counted properly I totally would

I started doing it with my daughter so we can have fun, but now with my puppy I keep track of the distance I travel
Sonikclaw2
100%. 14k kilometers in the last 3 and a half years!
Lanky-Truck6409
Yep, it’s the only motivation the take longer dog walks in this awful weather.
Winter is starting to bum me out since my hand freezes playing pogo while walking :<
