can you explain what happened? Did the other person delete their account after hitting ultra friends to prevent you from getting xp? I see posts similar to this and never understand what happened lol

I see this type of post a lot and I find it very rude not to give the other person a fair chance before removal.
On the other hand, I have 3 friends with 1 day away from becoming ultra friends with. They have my gift sitting unopen for weeks and they haven’t sent me any back. They are all active daily. The same goes for 1 person with 1 day away from best friend. Is it worth waiting for however long it takes for them to line all their friends up or what’s the deal?
