  1. I think with the insane buffs talonflame has we're gonna see bubble as the main move on both jelly and mantine now.

  2. so you were right about the amount of changes in this season after all! xD

i feel like Medi will actually become a big closer after this, give it two shields with power-up punch and ice punch and watch it shine. Can't wait to run it with Talonflame on the lead and Poliwrath on the safe swap

  3. The only Pokemon, which looks very nice with Astonish is surprisingly Drifblim. Somehow it performs better with it than Hex in the Ultra League

  4. Hmm, sure I m excited because Meta change is always nice(even if the change is bad overall).

I predict Golisopod everywhere in the UL, and if Azu and Talonflame take the GL it will lead into Lanturn everywhere too.

Finally we have to see how it will go on, but I don’t like this clunky 3 or 5 turn moves. It feels not so much fun to play, if the main meta have 3/5turn quick moves.

Normally I really like the remix cup… but if you change the meta for the next season and don’t ban a carbink(which only is not banned cause it’s new+ hard to get the XL for the casual) … this cup will be not as interesting as it could be.

So why not banning the 20/30 most used Pokémon from the previous week?

I would really love if they would bangtet 20 most used from the 1st GL rotation + every day the #1 used of the day before.

  5. I believe you totally missed one of the best antimeta ever claydol 😊 who has been countering steels, fighters, electric mons, deoxys and toxicroak since forever. Including walling pesky registeel, steelix and bastiodon

You also missed one of the best for a couple limited metas. Khangastan

  6. Tyranitar gets iron tail and dragonite gets steel wing. Could br an interesting spice fast move for them in UL and MLs.

  7. Talonflame won’t be as op as you make it seem, it’s kind of a sim hero, with pretty terrible zero shield performance. It requires a lot of baits and is very susceptible to all the water and coverage moves rock moves. Plus even when it can go straight brave bird to win a match you will leave your opponent with a lot of farm

  8. Nerfing breaking swipe was a mistake imho. Except for Steelix, it was given to pokemons that benefitted greatly for it (haxorus, ray – which people spent $$$ to have now and it's already nerfed, heliolisk, etc), and it only broke steelix. And also: I wouldn't trust numbers too much on simulations about a 50% debuff, ANYTHING can happen with a 50% debuff about close matchups

  9. i can see astonish being useful on Swablu for the little cup. Decent stat product and moveset. Just needed a good fast move

  10. Back in the day Bubble used to be 8 damage but they nerfed it due to how strong Azu was in the GL META. A lot has happened since then soo hopefully even with the bubble buff it won't make Azu as strong as it used to be!

And with this whole steelix nonsense watch the same thing happen to the move Fly next season due to how strong Talonflame will be in this META. Niantic needs to start weighing out the pros & cons to when deciding to add a move too the movepool of a pokemon. What's the point in adding a move to only nerf it the following season?? All do to one pokemon. Kinda defeats the purpose.

P.S Mudslap Kangaskan with Crunch & Equake? Spice pick all day that I will try using! Mudslap basically gonna generate energy just as fast as Dragon Tail now giving 3 less damage per turn I believe but energy generation is going to be the same!

I also can't wait to use my XL Chimecho for Ultra League.

  11. BS should not have been nerfed. Steelix was a really good pokemon but it was also super easy to counter. I played with steelix in GL and UL and never felt that steelix was the reason I was winning, and when I wasnt running steelix I never had a problem countering it.

  12. Niantic should send a survey to every trainer who hits legend about possible move updates the next season

  13. I hope there's an event where Azumarill/Marill spawns in the wild, mine are all from before level 50 o.0

  14. Talonflame is very bait dependent mon especially GL. Not the easiest thing to use so to say it's completely OP or busted is a stretch. Like if someone calls a FC then you don't win, and if they shield a BB then you don't win. And it already beat mantine cus mantine doesn't always have water moves

  15. So glad I didn’t drop 1.8 million dust on a Steelix + shadow Steelix + Rayquaza last season. Powering up anything to level 50 feels pointless so long as the community maintains this culture of demanding everything “good” get nerfed into oblivion, just so that the meta can still be broken afterwards.

  16. what do you think about a team with klefki, now it has a buffed astonish? think about a team with talonflame lead, klefki in the back together with carbink as safe swap. something like abb with fairy for the great league? 🙈

  17. If I am being honest Talonflame actually deserves the buffs. Fire types in general really needed something to be better because they are not in a good state right now and aside from Charizards everywhere with 2 shields it made Talonflame a good competitor as it now deals more damage and is also a very reliable fire dps pokemon that does not rely on charge moves for damage. Azumarill with the bubble damage was definitely a good addition, over the past seasons Azu has always been a good staple pokemon until Toxapex and Lanturn just are everywhere but even then it was still very decent pokemon but giving it that damage buff back now makes it actually a bit more better to compete with all these pokemons that are more commonly used from a average pickrate to a bit more higher pickrate and especially since Steelix was absolutely everywhere as well and having one was a good counter.

  18. Honestly I saw steelix pretty often but it was never game breaking…it was common because PVPoke said it was good but it was never OP or ruined the game. Niantic is punishing the other mons that needed breaking swipe than trying to “help” combat steelix

  19. I know it's inferior to Talonflame, but I'm honestly very interested to see how much damage shadow incinerate Typhlosion can deal. It now has so much farm down potential and, just like charizard, is basically guaranteed to deal >60% dmg or grab a shields on every charge move it throws (for reference: blast burn does 60% vs lickitung). I can definitely see teams that lead Typhlosion and set it up for a massive farm down.

EDIT: Due to a lack of bulk realistically it only has potential to shine in special cups though.

  20. i wish they buffed astonish more. 1 more damage plz? the only thing that really wants it is drifblim. everything else is too weak to make use of it.
