Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.
The new season of Timeless Travel has been announced with buffs to pokemon like talonflame, toxicroak, and azumarill and nerfs to steelix breaking swipe and medicham. Here is a full analysis of the new buffs, nerfs, and pokemon with new moves.
There is a new rank one pokemon in go battle league and it is skarmory. Steel wing actually got 2 level buff going from 5 energy to 7 energy, a huge increase. Given it’s ability to resist many pokemon, it has jumped up huge. Is it worth the number 1 ranking or is over hyped?

unbelievable, skarmory is rank 1…unreal. I think Niantic wanted to address the mistake that was carbink buffing azu and skarmory. It's great though since a lot old meta is now back with skarm, azu, and vig, and even talon
I ran Skarmory with scald whiscash and gligar. Did really well with it. Gives you 1.5 answers for lanturn and protects you from grass
Time to bring back the Skarmory + Swampert core. I'm gonna try these ideas:
Skarmory + safe swap + Swampert
Skarmory + double ground
Skarmory + double mudboi

I think swampert is def supposed to be the lead. This comp improves a lot with swamp lead skarm back imo

I don’t see Steelix being that bad even with the % drop. 50% is still good for as fast as he gets to his Breaking Swipes. One of the spammiest pokemon I’ve battled the entire last season.

sad fire spin get bit buff, but fire types problem is still charge move. Wish really they buff flamethrower cut like -5 energy or so make it more competive and give it like alolan marowak etc.

How about Registeel as a counter to Skarmory? I have one from way back (took a 5 year break between 2018 and this year) with IVs of 14/15/10 1475 CP so not ideal but big attack. Is it worth both an Elite charged TM (have only one) plus the 100 rare candy to get Zap Cannon? I also like to play ultra league and I used Poliwrath and Registeel, one got the upgrade and one got nuked, so looking for something to pare with Poliwrath and most things require an elite charged TM.
Try skarmony lead with double mud boy in back. Im using Shadow whiscash and none shadow swampsrt

I was running this team with azumarill instead of sableye and shadow swampert! Been working good but haven’t seen too many lanturns
Nobody gets better at this mode it's not a game of skill especially when the outcome is already made before you start u win half lose half it's awful almost as bad as the corrupt company that made it
