  1. Dragon Quest spin-off titles now outsell mainline Final Fantasy titles in Japan.

    Think about that.

I think it’s the highest Square Enix weekly debut in a while since FFVII Remake.

Let’s compare to other Square Enix games:

    – **Dragon Quest Treasures:** 143.650
    – **Octopath Traveller II:** 53.995
    – **Final Fantasy XVI:** 336.000
    – **Star Ocean The Second Story R:** 50.557
    – **Super Mario RPG:** 301.334

    Yup, it is.

And they barely advertising it. I don’t remember it shows up in any events nor get reviews from any big sites like IGN, GS..

Would love to buy a physical copy if they shipped any to my local stores lol

It’s such a good game. I’m not too far in it but god I’m loving it so far. While at first it seems overly easy due to tournaments being auto-combat with selectable tactics, it gets much, much harder. It has the same good vibes as the old games imo.

  6. That’s surprising but I’m a big DQ fan, quite happy to see the IP in good health…(now please DQ 3 HD-2D)

I tried the demo, I found that the technical aspect was underwhelming but lot of attaching mechanisms. They kinda had a chance to stick it to Gamefreaks by making a well polished game, a shame especially with how well DQXIS and DQ builder 1/2 were ported

Might pick the game later on depending on the 2024 nintendo switch games roadmap

Now bring over the sequels to Rocket Slime and I will be happy
