I can see that the GPS did drift a little and goes through the house.
But yeah shouldn’t have been rejected.
Do people still report routes so they can resubmit with their own names?
We had a couple of routes just vanish
What level do you need to be to make routes?
Can these people quit reporting routes that aren’t doing anything wrong? To all the reporters of Routes that gets them taken down, I wish you all a trip to the Distortion World.
Dealing with this issue myself, I submitted a report ticket to see if it can be reversed. My first route had 13 community trips but was rejected as “unsafe”. The new one (different route) I submitted was rejected for the same reason, both rejected on the same day for the same reason despite one being active for two months. Both following sidewalks or paved walking paths. While they both do cross a road, both are at pedestrian crosswalks with signals. It’s bewildering, really.
Update!
So I have contacted support about this and even send them screenshots of google maps to show how the route does not cross private property. But they haven’t even replied yet.
I also tried to recreate the same route and of course it’s obvious that it’s also Niantic’s fault the route maker drifts off. The route went straight through several buildings before coming back to me, even though I’ve walking an straight line.
I am going to try again today to make to see if I can get the route without drifting. Because it’s an easy walk especially with my dog, I have several walking routes that start or ends with these route, so would be an shame to lose it.
