Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.
The new season of Timeless Travel has been announced with buffs to pokemon like talonflame, toxicroak, and azumarill and nerfs to steelix breaking swipe and medicham. Here is a full analysis of the new buffs, nerfs, and pokemon with new moves.
This week is ultra league and retro cup. Retro cup is a 1500CP (Great League) with steel, dark, and fairy banned. These banned typings lead to an increase in flyers, ghost, and dragons in the meta.
Taking at one of the best pokemon in the retro cup – aurorus. Ice and Rock is a killer combo for all the fliers and dragon in this meta. Paired with poliwrath and shadow dragonair.

12:24 i lost to that exact triple dragon team in a battle yesterday: arctibax, kingdra safeswap, shadow dnair… very oppressive
Spiciest pick Ive run in a while: Delcatty running Charm, Wild Charge, and Play Rough. But maxed out (and Delcatty costs a TON to get to 1500), Delcatty has a really big HP, which compensates for the lackluster defense. And just like with Crunch having a field day with Ghosts, Charm is wrecking the dragons and fighters. Biggest foe is Vigoroth so you just have to run if you see him.

I agree with you, I've really enjoyed this meta more than just about anything lately. Nice seeing some different mon and not every team is the same. Feels very fresh and enjoyable, even with losses usually.
Today I got hit with a frenzy plant from a Walrein
It was really a Venusaur, but the game glitched and the model didn't switch til after frenzy plant was thrown
It really threw me off since it said blocked when I killed the Walrein, but it didn't die (it really did die but the model didn't change)
