Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.
The new season of Timeless Travel has been announced with buffs to pokemon like talonflame, toxicroak, and azumarill and nerfs to steelix breaking swipe and medicham. Here is a full analysis of the new buffs, nerfs, and pokemon with new moves.
This week is master league and great league: holiday cup. A 1500CP league with normal, grass, electric, ice, flying, and ghost typings.

All the dragonite leads are interesting. I finally finished all my battles to get to Ace so Iām starting my climb up to 2500, and I see mostly Lanturn and Skelidirge leads
Vigoroths only weakness is another vigoroth lol
Double type eletric water gun is the final buff for Lanturn to get even into Master league
I wonder what gets nerfed next season cause of too many vigoroth now? Cant do counter, nerfing body slam would hurt so many pokemon.. maybe theybjust give us some good fighting/ghost types to wall it

This team is too RPS for the meta and all imo. It seems I only have luck with ABB. AAB, and ABA teams
Scald huge improvement on other pokemon. Now Tentacruel have more play in Ultra League, Whishcash in Great League , even Politoad can be used more with Scald.
try sabeleye, coffigrigus, obstagoon. positive every set
I play shadow magnezon, double ghost, only team that works for me on the way to 2500 š
I've beaten this team so many times with A.Grav, Vig, and Greedent. I've seen this team so commonly used, and it's pretty easy to beat. Everyone and their grandmother's need to get off the hype train of Lanturn, really. Great video of how you used the team for the video you put out Dan. Sorry Dan, if I'm too blunt, I'm just sick and tired of seeing that fish EVERYWHERE š .
My best team so far has been sableye/vigoroth/jellicent. Sableye seemed like a good lead for me and it worked alright yesterday at least
What do you do against a Vig or Greedent when you see them, if ever? Greedent and Vig are core-breakers to this team, but I'd like to try this team out for myself and see the results. I'd definitely let you know here how it goes for myself. š
Struggling against all the Vigs. My Dubwool does alright but counter is sometimes too fast and they can fast move me down unless I use shields. Definitely look forward to building one eventually, and hopefully it can be balanced more in these specialty cups. In open I don't think I'm too worried with Medi and everything else.

im running triple anti-palo team. mantine in the front to bait out an electric user (namely lantuen) and send in chestnaught and close out w altaria. if that doesnt happen i save the chestnaught to close with shields and use altaria as a swap if i need to get out on the lead. they all beat palo w basically no shields needed
I just ran a set with the shadow dragonite, licki and shadow charm a-9. I went 4-1 with my only loss being to a whimsicott lead and then I accidentally tapped on a-9 instead of licki for the swap. I still made that game VERY close. š
This game is so rigged Iām so tired of it was using Shadow dragonite as my lead for my first 2 sets got ice users against me started using this team and ALL OF A SUDDEN everyone is using ghost types as their leads lol

For holiday cup I'm using:
Chesnaught with Vine whip, superpower & Frenzy plant,
Skeledirge with Incinerate, Flamethorwer & Shadow ball,
Ninetales (the ice fairy) with Powder snow, Weatheball & Dazzling gleam,
Like every trio it has it's weaknesses, Charizard & talonflame are a pain, still I score an average of 15-17 a day, including in one lucky day 23 (my best ever).
