I Tested Pokemon GO’s New 100% Catch Trick, But Does It Really Work?

A new mechanic has just been discovered in Pokemon Go. With many information online stating that it is possible to get a critical catch which allows us to have a confirmed 100% catch rate on any Pokemon, I decided to test out this new method on my own. This was what I found out…

  1. I've always been intrigued about the different animation with this technic. I think it's all about the perfect target reached while throwing. I've had many critical throws even when there are only nice. No impossible but hard to do.
    Great video master! Thank you!

  2. Hello brandon! Can you please do a quick tutorial on what to put as description or titles to help better nominate a pokestop! I got 2 of my nominations rejected so far and they are sign at the park

  3. I feel like I have seen enough posts that suggest it does not work with legendary raids. I have not tried other raids, but have been repeatedly successful on ordinary spawns with around 20 crit catches since Wednesday (video recording on only a couple) from Green to red ring and no berry and regular pokeball. Anyone that has gotten a crit catch on a legendary as of now I think is just coincidental as it can't be replicated like the wild spawns.

  4. Remember back in the day the fuss about opening your daily gift at a specific time to get top items like starpieces, lures, incubators, etc? Same hype here, same result: yes it happens, but randomly and extremely rarely. No "rule" of any kind. Again, just a small detail gaining traction on the Internet for some reason, but hardly any basis to it…

  5. It is 100% crit catch on wild spawns. It doesn't work on legendaries. I believe you tested this on the only thing that it doesn't work, and you one crit chance was the base 1% chance to happen. Please test this again in the wild and see how many critical you can get. If your circle is small enough, it literally works 100% of the time on wild spawns from what I can tell.

Edit: Perhaps it doesn't work with premier balls from raids. I would still love a follow up video tomorrow or near future with testing it in the wild with regular balls.

  6. It doesn't work on premier balls on legendary pokemon…
Only the other balls you throw works unfortunately 😕

  7. i use circle lock on all of my 5 star raids i mostly hit excellents but it always somehow catch it when i dont hit anything not nice not great. Never got a critical catch before

  8. tried it at wild spawn and it works pretty well, on legendary raid tho for me it didnt work. plus tried 4 lapras raid, and not work as well

  9. It’s confusing but the issue is how do you know it’s the smallest circle??
There is no proof to this claim that it works or does not because there is no way to proof that it is in fact the smallest circle possible. But I am all for this because there is no down side as long as you are a good thrower.

  10. Unless you find a shundo, what other reasons is there to get critical catch on a random spawn that is going to be transferred anyways, also the catch rate on random spawn is quite high.

Cool that there's this method to critical catch, but such a waste of time setting up the smallest circle possible and having to circle lock if it's not a legendary. I can finishing catching a cluster of spawns before a criticial catch method is executed

  11. BRANDONTAN91 PLS LETS BE FRIENDS ON POKEMON GO IVE BEEN WATCHING U LIKE EVERY YEAR OR MONTHS OR IDK HOW MANY YEARS I WATCHED YOU PLS LETS BE FRIEND ON POKEMON GO AND TRADE PLSS TELL ME YOUR TRAINER CODE AND MY USER IS POKEREV363742 PLS

  12. I did it with the glacéon costume raid and it was a crit first try so I think it works with everything but tier 5 raids. I hope we can get some info on the galarian birds soon

  13. To say you “tested” it when you only tried it on one pokemon from a raid is not a true test. Should have tried different wild spawns, other raids, shadow pokemon, etc. That would have been an actual test and something I hope you consider doing.

  14. Pokemon HP is not critically low nor does it show , how can we measure or weight the catch rate if it is unknown and uncontrollable by players , some serious adjustments need to be made known… "Loving and experience opinion" "extremely demoralizing". ..

  15. I have gotten a critical catch on Regigigas but it was not on my first throw
It was my third throw with the same small circle

  16. The galarian birds are the ultimate test. They are wild spawns but should be more difficult to catch than 5 star raids.

  17. I think it works I found this forever ago and it seemed like I caught all Pokémon with the smallest excellent throw I was able to get which got me a galarian bird which was crazy

  18. It works ONLY on wild spawns. I just got 3 crits in 3 pokemon in a row spheal – piloswine – spheal with various colour circles and a red ball (no berries).
3 crits in a row is a statistical impossibility if there is no existing trick.
