so excited to get my favourite gen 7 Pokemon in my favourite lycanroc form!
I think they were very intentional with their wording and you cannot use a Rockruff from any previous season to evolve but you can use any of the rockruff from research, eggs, raids in this season (for now at least)….and then it'll be random when allowing it to evolve. Maybe something like 1 in 10 allowed to evolve into dusk
I think niantic dont want us evolve old shinys rockruff and want all trainers go find a new one who can evolve in duskform , good luck all! ✨️✨️✨️
This 100% should have been an egg hatch event! Mixing them in with the current pool will make it damn near impossible to get a shiny specifically able to evolve into the new form.

They should allow any rockruff to evolve into dusk form. It’s already bad enough in the main series we had to have a rockruff with own tempo (SwSh and SV saved us the headache by making all three lycanroc available out in the wild )

I guess finally we got the shiny Eeveeevutions and there’s a chance, Unberon and Espeon may have a shiny rate of 1 in 64 but, it could be full odds.
I’m cautiously hopeful with this event…I’m looking forward to the buddy part of this as I’ve got 5 in the last circle ❤

Thanks for explaining this pretty good but confusing event. I think the method of evolving Rockruff into Dusk Form Lycanroc is unique. To add to everything you said, I saw a post on Twitter that basically says only Rockruff obtained during this specific event will have the capability of evolving into Dusk Form Lycanroc
Dusk form is just money grab. Not interested. Niantic is forcing players to spend money for the dusk form.
I really hope there is more to this event than Lycanroc. I personally don't care for different forms of pokemon as i already have Lycanroc and a different form doesn't fill a another pokedex page
I have been saving my shundo best buddy for this entire time. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I've waited so long I've got both the other 3 * but I've saved my best buddy shundo just waiting for my favorite non legendary

I got specific rockruff with memories to them and i wanted them to be dusk form its so stupid
It seems everyone is disappointed with this and niantic should do something I really hope in the future there could be a way
