Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.

The new season of Timeless Travel has been announced with buffs to pokemon like talonflame, toxicroak, and azumarill and nerfs to steelix breaking swipe and medicham. Here is a full analysis of the new buffs, nerfs, and pokemon with new moves.

This week is master league and fantasy cup. Fantasy Cup is a 1500CP league with only steel, fairy, and dragon.

In todays video we go my first fantasy cup team featuring turtonator, azumarill, and tapu fini

  1. Turtonator in the back was straight COOKING for me last night! So many double steels unprepared for the Nator

  2. I ran Regi – Turt – shadow Mawhile last night and had multiple people top lefting. I also ran flamethrower and flash cannon on my Turt.

  3. Check out Flygon, Registeel and Excadrill. Handles Azu leads fine, 6 Mud Shots for a Scorching Sands, throw 1 more MS then try to catch a Play Rough on Registeel. Then play accordingly depending on what counterswaps your Registeel. Mine's a shadow, so with energy and shields down, like you said, it's lethal and a problem for most of the meta.

  4. I only saw one turtonator, but it gave me the most problems. Had a good streak using escav, mawile, and hydro play rough azu

  5. I saw a wild player using Togedemaru. They double wild charged and double shielded against registeel, then swapped to sac a shadow dragonair and an azumarill then come back in and kept throwing wild charges.

  6. You know how many stupid azu's are on the lead??? I have been going turt lead, azu swap and then whimiscott in the back

I am thinking of g weezing on the lead with sludge and overheat, flygon and turt in the back, what do you think Dan?

  7. Dan, give this team a try.
    G. Stunfisk – MS/RS/EQ
    Azumarill – BB/PR/IB
    Mawile – FF/PuP/PR
^^This team beats everything in the Fantasy Cup. Mawile is very expensive to build though, if you have it built you’ve felt my pain. Especially if it was a rank 1. Luckily mine is, aswell as the rest of my team. Threat score of 478 on pvpoke if they’re all rank 1 IV’s. Check it out if you don’t believe me. The only real threat to this team is another Azumarill. When that happens you just have to play out the mirror match to get rid of it.

  8. I ran into a lot of whimsicott and that grass knot comes fast and hits hard! Shredded everything I threw at it (though I didn't run any fires)

  9. I’m weak to fire but I’ve been running forrettress lead with registers and melmetal 4-0 at the moment so far

  10. Dislike this cup, firstly, secondly, my team today was mostly , stunfisk (G) , escavalier, and skarmory
I know triple steel, but it was manageable.
My GF uses stunfisk skarmory turtonator/shelgon, she's done significantly better. I don't have a good Stat turto 🙁

  11. yeahhh i noticed it at the top of the list too and had a blast on an alt account

  12. I played Magne, Flyogn, Haxorus today with decent results. Looking forward to your team with Fly tomorrow!

  13. The first team I ran for this cup dominated the team you're showcasing here but I went 2-13 with it… had to switch it up after that. It was Azu lead, Regi safe swap, and perrserker close (with trailblaze). I was surprised at how bad it was being an ABB line as well, but everyone is just play counter meta at the 2200's rn. Switched to a triple fairy team that it working surprisingly well…

  14. Also for the battle regarding Turtonator vs Empoleon, you actually don't need to switch out. Turt wins all even shield scenarios against Empoleon because of the neutral incinerates/overheats

  15. Went 4-1 with Lucario (Power-up Punch), Altaria, and Stunfisk. I ran Power-up punch by accident but I’m switching to Blaze kick. Had a rough time fighting double fairy (two flamethrower fairies). That was my only loss.

  16. I’m running skarmory on the lead, lucario as safe swap and haxorus with surf and break as a counter. You almost win every cmp with haxorus. Been working well but has its flaws with limited meta 🤷🏻‍♂️ skarmory cleans house on the azu and haxorus does great on regi,

  17. This cup gives me elo anxiety. I fluctuated from 1950-2200 in the jellicent hell cup last week and now this!

  18. How about Whimsicott as an answer to Flygon? I’ve been running it a lot and it resists all of Flygon’s common moves

  19. I don't like incinerate users in the lead so I put my Turtonator in the back along with Azu and then Skarm in the lead. Working okay for now.

  20. Whimsicott looks like a fun sleeper pick in this meta. The Regi matchup is rough and I’ve started to see a little more Skarmory so maybe Mawile could pair with it? I wish I could try it out but I don’t have those mons. I have a Regi and Azu but haven’t been played much this cup cuz I’ve gotten so bored of using those guys.
