Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.
This week is open great league, ultra league, and master league. It is also Go Battle Week, running from riday, January 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time
Bonuses include
4× Stardust from win rewards. (This does not include the end-of-set rewards and will not stack with the 4× Stardust bonus in January.)
The maximum number of sets you can play per day will be increased from five to 10—for a total of 50 battles—from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time.

I will use something like Whiscash Sableye and a some flying mon, probably shadow Gligar, Skarmory or Mandibuz. Of course I will also try Anihilape, I already have it and moveset seems great.
On Team 5 does my Gligar have to be shadow?

I'd love to see them do a new format for next season: Great League Classic. Great League but all XL Pokémon are banned. I know they said no more classic leagues but for great league I think it would be a fun special cup for 2 weeks.
I have a feeling my teams will be centered around countering Annhialape 😅
