I was looking at a bobber and it clicked this looks like a Voltorb! So I doodled this up..

    This is actually a really cute idea. Voltorb and electrode are already Mimics, so them trying to trap fish makes total sense.

    I love that the evolution doesn’t just try to imitate Electrode, but turns into something entirely new instead. I wish Wiglett did the same thing.

    They’re pretty cool! The Electrode-convergent might be just a bit too differently shaped to be convergent? I don’t know, but I really appreciate the concept and their designs.

    I feel like the second stage should be more like an actual Electrode than the first is to a Voltorb, instead of the other way around. After all, Convergent Evolution in real life is when 2 species evolve to resemble each other. Once they evolve to stop resembling each other, they’re no longer convergent.
