For anyone wondering it’s Rotom, a ghost-electric type that commonly possesses machines, which changes it’s type. (Possessing a fridge to become ice-electric for example.)
No clue what else to do, but 479 is it’s pokedex number.

“Trainers, a new Ghost in the Machine quest is now live in the game, and it looks like it has everything to do with Rotom.
The Ghost in the Machine quest has only one step, and one task named “Catch me if you can.” The rewards are 30 Rotom Candy, 479 Stardust, 479 XP, and Rotom.

Catch me if you can: 30 Rotom Candy
Rewards: 479 Stardust, 479 XP, and Rotom.
You will also notice a code 0HY0. According to their official announcement, Pokemon Go players must work together and decipher the code to unlock an encounter with Rotom.
They clearly say “Once Trainers at Rose Bowl Stadium decipher the code, Trainers worldwide can redeem it, too!” which means someone pressed the wrong button again.”

I believe that they said they would be releasing codes for the community to find so that players could get rotom encounters during the sinoh tour, maybe the “0HY0” thing in the bottom of the research is the first 4 letters of that code!

If you google 0hy0 there seems to be a motor that’s named as2023-0hy0 since rotom is motor backwards maybe it’s related?

It was a bugged release. This is a research we are supposed to get but it was released earlier on accident. Niantic removed it but will add it back when the event goes live.

CTAC is the first thing I found that could be something. shifted 24 for the year, is there a raid on at SeaTac?

my friend is going to LA for the Go event. i sent him a screenshot of this from my game and asked if he knew what was up. he said that on saturday a code is going to show up in the park for them to enter and that it’ll probably be unlocked globally after that that’ll unlock Rotom. or something like that idk
