I’m wondering if a big part of this is revealing some of the games Microsoft said they’re bringing over?
Multiple “leakers” said there would be a Direct this week. I’ll wait and see.
If you guess enough times eventually you’ll get some things right.
Pyoro has a very good track record so I believe it
I just want to know what Nintendo’s output this year is, we don’t even have a date for stuff like Thousand Year Door.

It was meant to be yesterday until it wasn’t.
Pyoro is quite reputable, but at this point next week (no exact day specified) is an educated guess that most people would make. There’s usually a Direct in February, and it would be better to not have it on the same week as Pokemon Day, which will have its own Direct.

This isn’t the most shocking thing as Nate also said that there would be a Partner Showcase this month instead of a Direct. It would make sense so that they can dedicate a March Direct at the end of their fiscal year to first party announcements since this might be the last year where the Switch is their primary platform. Obviously Nate is less reliable in that he is pretty open when hears something new from his sources. Pyoro doesn’t even tweet unless he knows for sure.

Nintendo Direct coming out before the heat death of the universe
In terms of partner showcase, I’m hoping for a decent showing from Square Enix. They’re doing a lot of merch for Xenogears like the did Chrono Cross before its remaster, and Monolith clearly want it to happen along with Saga ports. Also would be nice to get updates and DQ3 HD-2D.
I know the big headliners are probably gonna be Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment, maybe the other two Xbox games as well, but I do want to know the year is filled with games to help tide us over assuming the Switch 2 really isn’t coming for another year.
Silksong or one of the square enix nvidia leaks coming true would be enough to make this a successful direct.

What fucking irks me about these people is that they put on such a show for whenever they start yapping

Only thing I’m hoping/expecting in a Partner Direct would be a Unicorn Overlord demo. Imo it would be a smart move for them to take a page out of the Octopath/Triangle Strategy teams book and take a similar approach with a Direct close to release having an “Demo available now” announcement.
