Huh wonder if that would be a part of the showcase. Now I’m interested

  2. iamthatguy54

Bro I haven’t even beaten the original. Did they finally finish the game or is it sequel

  3. Alive_Maintenance943

Man, I’m so glad I waited and didn’t buy the original, I figured something like this would come out eventually.

  4. Noir_Vena_Cava

Is this gonna be a sequel or just a multiplat re release?

  5. JRosfield

Bet we can expect this on the Switch 2, maybe even other consoles. Since mainline Persona games finally managed to reach out of PS, perhaps Atlus plans to do the same with SMT.

  6. Efficient_Constant13

Ooohhh this would be a day one purchase if it’s confirmed.
Was actually thinking of going back to playing but it’s been 2 years and I barely remember anything. I might start all over again with this one!

  7. milopeach

Awesome. Played Persona 3 recently and ever since I’ve been injecting SMT goodness into my eyeballs.

  8. Not much to go on. Was it rated on Switch or multiple consoles? It’s already complete by itself except for add-ons since there was no story dlc.

What’s expected to actually be different in a rerelease like this? I have the original, never got far in it, and have considered diving back in – if this is gonna be like P5R-levels of change, might as well wait for this then

  10. So keen to double dip this… on literally any other platform.

The Framerate on this hardware is what caused me to drop it entirely, looking forward to the Steam/PS5 version if possible.

(Would have been cool as a Switch 2 Title, depending on these delay rumours/when this is supposedly set to release)

I’ll double-dip. Love the franchise and here’s hoping we get the 3DS games ported.

  12. ThatGuy98_

Please just put this on PC, it looked to run horrendously on Switch.

  13. bwburke94

Atlus appears to once again be doing an Atlus.

  14. gimpycpu

There goes my will to finish it ;( now I feel forced to wait for that version

  15. _DontStayTheSame_

Would this actually come to the Switch? Might seem a bit ballsy to come out with a “complete and improved” copy after a bunch of people already bought the initial version.

But then again this is Atlus afterall.

  16. Burnstryk

Finally we can play this on a non obsolete console

  17. Stealthinater1234

I would love SMTV to get ported other platforms, it would look amazing @ 4K 60fps with enhanced graphics. The game does look pretty good for being on switch, but the framerate is quite poor, it pretty much never holds 30fps on switch, always fluctuating under it.

  18. CDHmajora

Fuck it, I’ll buy it as long as it’s not just the game bungled with the DLC (as I already own the DLC).

I really enjoyed my time in SMT V 🙂 did everything except the superbosses >!Shiva and Demifiend!< simply because I was too lazy to grind to 99 for them. Everything else took me 70 hours and was enjoyable though (except the demon kings dungeon. That place was honestly boring).

  19. While I won’t double dip, I am glad more people will get to enjoy this. I enjoyed my time with it but with less time in my life, I can’t really afford to use it to play a game I spent hours in and completed

  20. Kelror13

Curious as to what changes will be present for this version of the game. I’ve yet to finish the original game so I guess it should be now or never on my part.

  21. Okay_sure_lets_post

I’ve had this game for a couple years and I haven’t gotten around to beating it. I got to around Lahmu and realized I shouldn’t be building the Nahobino as a hybrid character so restarted, but then lost interest because other games caught my interest. Should I wait for this version?

  22. everstark

I had an absolute blast playing the original, had an incredible atmosphere and soundtrack and excellent combat, it felt pretty complete outside of some story elements. If the new content this new version would include is substantial enough I’d maybe double dip, ideally it come as an update or DLC for the original, but with Atlus being Atlus, who knows.

  23. hope it comes to ps5 in higher resolution \ framerate.

    Persona Minus the Yakkity Yak

Totally down to replay if it comes to Gamepass but otherwise my Switch has fond memories of the hours we spent sending dong shaped or scented demons at our enemies.

  25. OwlProper1145

I suspect this is going to be the enhanced multiplatform version of the game that has been rumored for awhile.

  26. claud2113

I got the original on switch, but backlogged it. Should I trade it towards this on PS5 when it comes out?

  27. this company hatessss just releasing this stuff DLC

  28. Dukemon102

One advantage of having an “Updated” release is that it can completely overhaul certain flaws of the game instead of just adding stuff like a DLC does.

The redesigned Dungeons and the Kasumi story beats of Persona 5 Royal certainly couldn’t have been DLC. Or Pokémon Platinum improving practically everything about Diamond/Pearl ~~Unlike BDSP~~ making the game actually good. The DLC didn’t fix the trash and incomplete story of Sword/Shield.

If they completely fix all the story flaws of SMT V I wouldn’t mind playing through it again, because the gameplay was a blast, it felt like an honorary Xenoblade Chronicles game. Except that it’s going to be full price because it’s ATLUS…

  29. I really like SMT V.  I will buy this if it has new content

  30. Noah_PpAaRrKkSs

I loved this game when it came out and tried to do a replay recently and it just doesn’t run well on the Switch. It’s a great game but after playing Persona 3 Reload I don’t really wanna play the original version. So excited for an update, will probably buy it on PS5 or Switch 2.
