  1. Pokemon Go is a game that definitely has had a bit of history with the community.

However one of the best things about Pokemon Go is the people you meet along the way. Because of Pokemon Go I have met hundreds of interesting people within my state and outside my states due to Pokemon Go's Tour or Go Fest events. This allows you to meet people that are very unique and may not have same interest with you. But you both have one common thing. You guys like Pokemon.

The core base of Pokemon Go is basically just a catch em all. You want to catch them all you will go ahead and do so. We have Mega's Shinies, Costumed you name it. There's events that will feature location exclusive pokemons with location backgrounds. It makes you feel good. There's also their own PVP which is it's own story that allows you to battle other people in their own tournaments via the app. The game also features events almost every week where you can meet with people. Community Days, Raid Hours/Days. There are routes you can follow for bonuses and of course raids. There's more I can talk about in the ends it's about the community.

  2. Finally! I've been wondering what the deal with these games but couldn't bring myself to try.

  3. One thing i quite like about pokemon go is hunting for shinnies, since there are events like community day and others where the chances of finding one is quite high.

If you get a friend to play one of this events with you, you can in the end trade the shiny with an old pokemon (like from 2016 or before) and it guarantees that it will become a lucky pokemon (lucky pokemon is a whole can of worms, but the simple part is that it rerolls it's iv for a high value, maybe even perfect ivs).

After that, you can send some of this pokemon to pokemon home, and from there, you can place them in a lot of mainline games, which in my opinion is a quite fun way for shiny farming.

  4. The idea that some people think your phone can catch fire if you sleep with it is utterly ridiculous. Its not possible unless your phone was defective in the manufacturing to begin with. If that is the case, you have MUCH bigger problems then worrying about if you should sleep with it.

  5. Pokemon has been bad lately, I only use pokemon Go and Home to collect/trade pokemon while I wait for the next Main pokemon game that's not full of bugs then make you pay another 30$ DLC while the game still not fixed.

  6. I use pokemon sleep, but I just use the pokemon GO + which tracks without being scared of your phone breaking XD

  7. Pokemon Sleep genuinely helped fix my sleeping schedule and body clock. I have pretty bad depression and waking up each morning can be tough, but the game really incentives you to go to sleep at regular times and rewards you with rarer Pokémon n stuff.

to put it into perspective, when I started using the app I used to sleep at 4am and wake up at 1pm the next day. A few months later I now go to sleep at 10:30pm and wake up at around 9am.

Idk what people are doing to make their phones overheat, its never happened with me. I just set it to sleep, put the phone face-down which makes the screen black while keeping the app running and have it lay next to me on the mattress. Only time it gets slightly warm is if a pillow falls on it or something.

  8. I am of the opinion that Pokemon Home is a scam. It's ransomware. Up to USUM you were able to transfer every Pokemon from every game and have your entire collection in that one game and use them freely. Now you have to pay a subscription to store all your Pokemon, with no guarantee that you'll be able to use those mons in the future if GF decides not to include them in future games. Even worse, if you transfer your mons from USUM (where you can fully use them) to Home and they are not available in any Switch game, they are trapped forever and if you want to keep having access to them, you have to pay. I find all this completely scummy, even if it wasn't done on purpose (which I'm not convinced it wasn't).

  9. Pokemon that are shiny locked in the main games; You can catch in the game and you meet interesting people that you wouldn't meet any other way

  10. Pues, yo sigo jugando Pokémon Go por las ansias de coleccionismo. Sabía que suelen sacar Pokémon con disfraces?
Oh, y me parece o faltó mencionar Pokémon Shuffle?

  11. I'm pretty sure everyone with an old account on pokemon TCG has to make a new one to play the phone app, mainly because the app introduced 3D avatars instead of the old 2D ones

  12. How can you talk about Magicarp Jump and not mention all the hundreds of different color and pattern combinations there are? 😀

  13. As a Pokémon go enthusiast.
I see the main goal as to catch the BEST Pokémon.

Either Pink Badge, maybe shiny hunt for your favorite shiny's.

  14. I still cant believe that my younger self spent over a 600 bucks on Masters…… im so disapointed in myself

  15. I've played GO, Quest, ReMix, TCG Online, Unite, Masters, Rumble Rush, TCG Live, and Magikarp Jump, and i have a few things to say:

    – I think your review of ReMix is a bit outdated, the game got a "Major Update" a couple years ago which overhauled the whole thing (hence ReMix, not Mix) – there's a lot more to it now. Maybe you're aware of that but all the footage was of the old version, so i just wanted to point that out.
    – I still play GO, and have since july 2016. It's probably one of my favorites in the franchise. Sinnoh Tour is coming up this weekend 🙂 GO revitalized my interest in the franchise. GO is why I have a Switch. GO is why I was hyped for SV. I sent a Furret from GO->HOME a few years ago, around the time the compatibility with HOME was first added. He's now resting peacefully in my Scarlet save file. I solo'd the game with him :3. I unironically play GO daily (don't say it), it has become part of my daily routine.
    – Quest's art style is only similar to minecraft in that there is a cubism aesthetic. That's the only similarity. The graphics are otherwise entirely completely different to the point that saying it "looks like Minecraft" is,,,kinda misleading? Either way it's very fun and the community for it is still quite active. We're all very upset that they're not giving us the new mons China gets in their version of Quest.
    – Magikarp Jump is an adorable gem. No notes here.
    – TCG Online was incredible, despite the garbage trade system. Live existing is disrespectful to fans of the TCG, and now, for people like me who can't afford the cost of the physical TCG, it's downright upsetting that it's the only option. Crafting cards is NOT worth the missing features. TCG Live makes my clinical depression worse every time I play it. 730 days after release and it's still shit.
    – Masters is a huge letdown that left me wanting more. IIRC the original ads implied the combat style would be more similar to main series combat. It is not. This is bad.
    – Unite is fun but I don't like the monetization so I play very rarely. Last time I played was day 1 of Zacian's release. I did not unlock Zacian. I like Zacian, GameFreak. Give me Zacian, GameFreak.
    – Rumble Rush is fun i nthe early game but QUICKLY becomes a grind fest. Progress swiftly goes from "progressions per day" to "days per progression."

Overall, my favorites are GO, Quest, and ReMix.
Overall, I like TCG Online (RIP), Unite, and Magikarp Jump.
Not a fan of the rest.

edit: I FORGOT ABOUT DUEL! THAT ONE WAS SO COOL! But the monetization killed the fun swiftly.

  16. I played Duel earlier into its life. It was certainly an experience. Gacha was a somewhat controversial mechanic. I would sweep classmates in high school and thus became the reigning local champion, solely due to having gotten Zapdos, which was pretty busted at the time since it could jump over opposing Pokemon.
Despite the blatant power creep and how difficult it was to accrue in-game currency as F2P, I do look back on Duel rather fondly.
