Edit another point as to why they have the shinies of their original colour. I wanted to do a “what if” situation. They are the present form of the starter Pokemon as a more evolved form we see now. With Torterra’s it is showing the rocky ice breaking over time due to evolution and growing plants.
infernape is well the dragon on its head died down and it became more of fire. chimchar tail is hidden from the fire btw. empoleon became calmer (although its Pokedex line says it doesn’t accept food from anyone handed to them and such) so they became more aquatic.
