I quite like this LC meta actually. It just requires you to play a different playstyle from normal GL/UL battles. You need to always account for time-out and prepare as such.

This is just awful. Objectively worst gosh darn cup in the history of GBL and that's with electric fighting and psychic cup, original little cup and evo cup there.
Since you can’t TM smeargle, how do you get one with lock on and flying press?
I give up on the little cup. I've had more success with the great league catch cup.

Sorry for calling out your video submitter here, but if you can't throw on optimal timing, don't know move counts or type match-ups and hit legend JUST because of the team…. it's broken

Busted stuff like this is proof niantic puts zero thought or effort into these catch cups.. they could've given us love cup instead.
GBL cups this season have been nothing short of a disgrace. GL remix they banned the wrong pokemon using a list from 2 seasons ago so it was basically just the same as open GL. GL fantasy cup you couldn't gain Elo consistently without using at least 1 of Regi or Azu. Hisui cup and Evolution cup were both RPS with very little room to flip match ups (more possible in hisui cup but still not great). Catch cups in general are bad and should not be on their own, there should be an alternative or ban XL pokemon, because cups like this just give an exploit for spoofers of hard core grinders who can build not just 1 but 3 entire XL pokemon in one season where most people take 1-2 years to build them. And yet again no premier cups for like the 3rd straight season.

Holy Jesus, you can't be serious rueing against the evolution cup and then playing a little cup with Smeargle… great league just looks a billion times better
The fact that the player showcasing the videos is playing at a pretty subpar level and is still reeling off these wins is absolutely ridiculous. How they allowed smeargle into this is beyond me. Kudos to him for the run
Poor fast move timing, lack of typings knowledge, switching in the wrong mons and this dude hit legend. I was for Smeargle because of the resources needed to get it for this cup, especially built in this season, but after watching these battles I'm not so sure. He made so many simple mistakes that players even below his elo rarely make. I've decided I'm not investing dust into anything else for the rest of the season until league turnover so I can build mons that are good for the new season.
I wouldn't mind smeargle in this league if it was in open little cup.

I had marill charja and bronzor. Went 2850 to 3250 and then I couldn't get any more ques for battles

Dan, thanks for the vids. I hit legend this season shortly after you did (after Go Battle Day). So now I'm just messing around and trying out different pokemon.
I suggest you make more team-building videos and possibly introduce a beyond-the-hype for under-rated pokemon. It may require building duo-cores with a spicy third which I wouldn't mind seeing.

Another case of a zero skill team rewarding average players . PvPoke is the worst thing to happen in GO. Actually it’s up there with XL candy

What I would really love for a Video is team reading. What are the hints my opponent gives so I can make an educated guess what kind of pokemon could be in the back with the emphasis on what I the do with it.
It happened a couple times to me, that I was "fooled" by ABB style teams.
Hi Dan, I’m relatively new to the pvp side of pogo so I don’t have many mons built. I’d love to see a video of you showcasing a handful of teams consisting of more easily attainable mons, maybe even “budget” mons, to use in the open great league while I build up better meta relevant teams.
