Red Faction: Guerrilla on the Nintendo Switch: A Pleasant Surprise!

As we step into 2024, I find myself immersed in the world of **Red Faction: Guerrilla**, and let me tell you, it’s been an unexpected delight! Here’s what makes it remarkable:

1. **Performance Magic**: The unbelievable part? It runs like a dream on the Switch. Seriously, I didn’t expect this level of smoothness. Kudos to the developers!
2. **Mind-Blowing Gameplay**: The open world? Check. GTA-like missions? Double-check. Side missions that keep you hooked? Triple-check! It’s like a gaming buffet, and I can’t get enough.
3. **Skills and Weapons Galore**: From wielding sledgehammers to causing controlled chaos, the arsenal at our disposal is downright incredible. I mean, who knew smashing stuff could be so satisfying?

And now, let’s talk about the **reviews**. Initially, I brushed them off, but when I finally dove in, I was hooked. **Red Faction: Guerrilla** received mostly positive reviews, and honestly, I didn’t believe it at first. But sometimes, you’ve got to experience it firsthand to truly appreciate it.

Oh, and guess what? I snagged it **on sale**!

The quests have me hooked—I’m not ready for this adventure to end. In fact, I secretly hope for more games like this to grace the Switch. The thrill of exploration, the adrenaline of combat—it’s all here, and I’m eagerly awaiting what’s next.

P.S. If you’re curious, you can grab it from the official [My Nintendo Store](https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/). Happy gaming! 😊

    >Seriously, I didn’t expect this level of smoothness.

A fifteen year old game *better* run that smoothly.

Got it a while ago and enjoyed what I played of it, but the loading times became a bit too much for me.

Oh yea, it was a lot of fun. The demolition side missions were some of my favorites. The plot is admittedly a little lacking, but it’s more of a framing device for the gameplay anyway. I kinda forgot about the dead brother because I was too busy barreling through EDF buildings in a stolen APC.

Hold on, I thought the Switch version was a performance nightmare. Is the frame rate stable?

Its Great i cant ever get online for a match its always dead

  6. Since I assume online multiplayer is pretty much dead, how’s its replayability?

  7. I loved that game when it came out. Half of the missions can just be completed by driving a construction vehicle through a building. it’s a shame they completely changed the formula for the sequel.

Yeah I got it and had fun driving through buildings for a bit

To this day no game comes close to the detailed destruction that red faction guerrilla had. Kind of insane actually. There’s no game that has as good of a destruction physics engine as RF G

Siege was the best multiplayer game type ever!

Pretty glued to this one on PC when it came out. Ultimate stoner game just bashing buildings with a sledge. The enemy AI was pretty terrible compared to games like GTA 4 at the time, I wonder how that holds up today.

  12. I can’t believe you did mention how ALL buildings are able to be torn apart and destroyed piece by piece and even have physics and collapse.

You can literally drive a tank through a building.

One of my favorite tactics for invading a base is to ram a car through the wall and start throwing c4 everywhere.

RFG is a fun game. I grabbed a physical copy when it launched and was happy to have this game back after having on the Xbox and losing it years ago.
