    I’m suprised they didn’t make this at the end of August since every season usually has a big event at the very end of the season, last season was sinnoh tour

    I know tours should be special but the recent events have been underwhelming. It would be nice if there were more global tours… Like 1 every 2 months or so… that would be nice

    "Special 7km eggs", why on earth would they do that? Limiting the eggs for everybody, making everybody be careful about spinning stops and filling up their egg slots on accident. Really poor choice

    I have a few items of beef with the announcement:
    1. They need to pick a wider variety of cities for North America. Only 3 different cities have hosted a Go Fest in NA and all of them are northern and just too far away for most southern players. I live in Florida and most of my community has said they would go if they bring it somewhere closer.
    2. NYC Go Fest is the weekend of Independence Day, which is a major local holiday. That alone will double the prices of hotels and flights.
    3. The 2 incense regionals both spawn where I live

    so excited for NYC go fest. it was amazing meeting and playing with so many people (including YouTubers). i only spend $ on the basic GoFests for the community aspect, not a dime otherwise. I went last year on Sunday and had no issues however, in general, the first day of these events always seem to have problems. So sorry for those who went last year Saturday and had no connection for like 2-3 hours and Niantic's make-up was so weak. Id like to think they will fix the issues that occurred last year but… good luck. FYI the city experience was awesome- players and rayquaza(!) raids everywhere. Randells island was ok in that i feel there could be a bit more to the interactive stuff but i don't think it was any worse than what they have in other cities. The problem with Randells is the physical constraints of the park- the section of it where GoFest was held anyway. Basically, a narrow, single road bottlenecked the park, dividing it in two sections, which made walking back and forth a bit of a pain. Considering that there is probably not a better location to do it than on Randalls id rather have it there than no GoFest at all.

    i love when these events get announced, so many salty people crying about they aren't closer to that person. and as someone that lives in S. america i plan to go to one of these and not cry about it lol. my kids and wife are excited as well!!
