I have a GOOD FEELing that we already know who made this game.

From the article and statement to Eurogamer:

Nintendo hasn’t announced which of its many development studios or partners is making Princess Peach: Showtime, this spring’s biggest new Nintendo Switch game, and doesn’t seem likely to before it debuts later this month.

    > “The development team will be credited in the game credits,” a Nintendo spokesperson simply told me today when I enquired which developer had made the game.

There was a rumor recently that the game was supposingly developed by Good-Feel.

  3. It’s Retro Studios. It’s why Metroid Prime 4 is delayed.

I don’t understand the logic with this. It feels incredibly disrespectful for the people who actually made the game happen.

My guesses are Next Level Games or Good Feel.

The style of the 3D models reminds me of the former while all the craft put into stages’ assets reminds me of the latter.

Good-Feel has Prince Peach: Showtime listed on their wiki unless someone edited it on there. Not really sure why we are suppose to be excited for that if true. They mainly make 2-d games for Nintendo so it’s not some shocker. I would be more surprised if there is a Yoshi easter egg teaser at the end.

  7. Credits roll to reveal it’s actually a FromSoft game

  8. Alpacarok

What a strange piece of information to withhold. Why would they attempt to keep this secret?

  9. blootology

Gamefreak finally makes a polished game?

This sounds like some Konami-level bullshit. I wonder if the credits will include everyone’s real name or just a first initial and a random last name.

  11. God_of_Hyrule

Finally, the Nintendo-Insomniac crossover we never knew we wanted!

  12. Seacliff217

Good-Feel, while not a top dog name, still has a pretty consistent reputation behind it. They are practically second party. I personally don’t see the logic in this.

  13. As a game developer by trade: What the heck. This sounds extremely disrespectful of that studio and their workers.

  14. Zendrick42

We are in a very narrow window where everyone can put “Freelance Developer: Princess Peach Showtime” on their resume.

  15. Kariodude

So the studio doesn’t deserve credit publicly?

  16. shionthegodofpoverty

No way, Princess Peach: Showtime by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.

  17. Larkson9999

Or maybe just turn over the box and read who made it? Or watch the splash pages at the start?

    This isn’t rocket surgery Nintendo.

I can’t imagine a movie studio doing this or a book publisher. How many CDs would sell if it only had a title and no artist?

  19. sideaccountguy

Lol at the comments saying things like “Nintendo wants to be credited instead of the real devs”

The real answer is holding up the harassment towards the devs, simple as that. If crazy people don’t know who is developing the game they can’t harass them, obviously this only applies until the game releases.

  20. Ser_Fonz

“We’ll tell you after you buy it” lol ok

  21. JayZsAdoptedSon

This is a VERY weird trend and I cannot think of a non-shady reason why they are so damn secretive on who made the game nowadays

  22. deshfyre

yeah this just comes off as super disrespectful to the developers that worked on this game….

  23. It’s Ubisoft, so Nintendo don’t want us waiting for the sale.

  24. Sufficient-Yoghurt46

This has gotta be the weirdest tease I’ve ever heard. Does anyone care about the developer of the AA game? Come one guys, we’re one step closer until Switch 2 is announced.

  25. FalafelBall

The Nintendo comms person should’ve just ignored the question if that was going to be the answer, lol

  26. EnbyOcto

it’s probably a third party team or some new nintendo division

  27. KlulessAl

I’m going to go the other way of what everyone else is thinking and say they’re doing this because the developer doesn’t have a great reputation and would negatively impact sales if we knew. It’s probably Arzest lol

  28. Imagine going all the way through the credits just to find out this was made by Kojima
