Nintendo’s Switch menu mockups from before release found on Switch prototype
Switch Menu Mockups recently discovered on a Prototype Switch Nand. They seem to come from early in development as the "Switchboard" Menu style was already set in stone mostly in 2016. So it is assumed that these pictures come from a point before then. pic.twitter.com/XPwnmKONpE

This tweet is over a month old, but I hadn’t heard about it. I saw that guy’s fan art from earlier today, so that brought this to my attention.
Looks fake af. That’s just the steam deck menu lol
I like the current one, there’s nothing wrong with it. Minimalist ≠ bad

Damn it looks like they went forward and then took 5 steps back lol. As usual. They make some funky innovations that 40% like, talking about you motion controls that sucked Wii, and 3d on the 3ds and then take away some of the low hanging fruit that could make a system great. Nintendo is weird lol
This is the same vibe as the current Xbox Series Dashboard (A Dashboard that Microsoft was forced to remake under fans request).
I have conflicting opinions about how a console menu has to be delivered: With stylish aesthetic or straight to the point?
Wow. It looks terrible. So much wasted screen space.
Then again, I guess the current switch menu also wastes a ton of screen space too, huh.
Looks cluttered as shit
