The first three are the starters final evo and Palasonde is based on weather balloons so basically zentai castform. Buzztle and it’s Evo are early route bugs and Dreech is based on the Gigi with the Evo being based on a mix of giginox and Khezu from monster hunter.
The reason the types aren’t the same as pokemon is because recently I’ve started to think on turning these into creatures for an original comic since I don’t know how to make a ROM hack so I thought might as well do something I do know how to make. It will have a similar setup as pokemon (three starters, creature collecting and battling, an evil team, legendaries) but with more limited types and hopefully following the darker themes from the pokemon adventures manga and so far I’ve worked with enough differences that the pokemon company doesn’t think it’s a problem. If anyone would like to give some opinions I would appreciate it, I have a large dex to work through and I want to have variety in designs. If anyone is interested in the comic I’ll update here when I have the ‘pilot’ chapter done and ready so you can all check it out.
